She probably could. She does have emotion but more programmed and probably more along the line of a Vulcan. 
I'm trying to remember. I got seasons 1 and 2 coming in over the next weeks *yay!* but she can get angry and she did fall in love in one episode. But then again the android part (Rommie) slowly evolved more human characteristics whereas as the ship's AI remained more logical.
But yes - she'll pass as a Vulcan. Though they don't even know about Vulcans so Geharis can't pass her off as one.
Though, I've already figured they won't mention she's an android. The in the Andromeda universe AIs (at least before the long night) were not as common - at least not as complex as she is. You had robot androids almost for support and maintenance but not anything as realistic or complex as Rommie.  (I'll probably mention something like that in my next post when Geharis tells her to not disclose who she is).

For hair:
I actually prefer her hairstyle in this season but I like the overall outfit on the one I already showed you.
So it does hide her ears.
