Maahes
Name:CA-M4 Place of construction: Cairo Personality: As an Omnic, Maahes is rather socially intelligent and self-aware – as opposed to a walking toaster. However unlike other Omnics (and certainly unlike humans), his cognitive functioning relies on the network of thousands of nano-bots that form him. Whilst he tends to be generally cool-headed and reserved, when his network is put under stress (e.g. through physical attack) his mood and demeanour can become wildly unpredictable. Combat style: DPS Flanker Combat gear: Maahes is able to change shape and form, which gives him a variety of options in combat. Preferably he will manoeuvre around his opponents by slipping through small spaces (e.g. wall cracks, key holes, etc.) and pick off opponents in very close combat. His range capability is limited to simply throwing a ball of nano-bots at his opponents (less than ideal) or using an enemy weapon. Therefore he will usually mould his arms into spikes and attempt to impale his opponents. Ultimate: Maahes is able to merge with other omnics, taking control of their bodies and hack into their memory. Very useful, but not without various risks. For one, he can still take damage whilst doing this; meaning that if his teammates don't stop shooting, he's in for a world of hurt. Secondly, more advanced AI or corrupted AI could potentially resist his hacking attempt and Maahes could recieve negative feedback (anything ranging from a small stun, to being dominated himself). And lastly, he is limited by the amount of nanobots, meaning that in some circumstances he might only be able to control or disable certain parts of an enemy. For example: if he went up against a giant omnic, he might only be able to wrestle control of one of its legs. Drawbacks: Whilst being a network of nano-bots certainly has its advantages, it definitely has some drawbacks. For one, replacing destroyed nano-bots is an incredibly difficult task. And moreover, due to the way they work together he will actually get progressively dumber as more get destroyed. This does mean that if Overwatch was willing to drastically increase the amount of nano-bots available to him, he would become much more intelligence and formidable – but given the omnic-crisis it’s probably safe to say that’s unlikely to happen.
