Manny slipped his feet off his work desk, still eyeing the Grimoire of the Order of the Golden Dawn as he pushed himself up with casual ease, not even gripping his chair legs as he did so. Taking one last sip of coffee, he headed out of the hallway, slipping past people without even placing his eyes on them, gaze still firmly on the open Grimoire. This book would be hard to find for someone not used to occult, but with it, a common man could easily perform one of the less powerful enchantments and rituals. He slid into the room with Ellie and Morgan just as their concealment spell had finished. "Think I might have found something." He said to them aloud. "Been delving through some of my old reading lists and this here-" That was when he looked up. Manny wasn't exactly the social type, but with his detective skills, he deduced something was happening according to the blush on Ellie and the ever sensual Morgan and her eye catching movements. He raised an eyebrow, but decided to say nothing about the question forming in his mind just yet. Manny gave a slight knock on the door frame to grab their attentions, before giving brief explanation on what he had found, pertaining to the ritual he had discovered in the Grimoire of the Order of the Golden Dawn. "So, a few google searches and a special order, along with some very odd ingredients, and her boyfriend could have thought it might be neat to play witch doctor and kill Cassandra that way, leaving no real trace." He ended his statement by one-handed closing the book with a 'thump.' "So unless you gals found out something I didn't, I suggest we find the boyfriend and check out his credit card bills or computer history somehow. Or question him, but that might lead nowhere..." Manny shrugged, and just before he was about to head out, he turned back to them. A few minutes ago, he'd just gotten off the phone with Mark Haltenburg, someone he went to the academy with before he dropped out. He found him working in one of the local precincts in Maine and decided to call him up, get a friendly scope on the area. Thankfully, detectives were well connected. "By the way, once we get to Maine, we got two rental cars waiting for us. Got a cheap deal from an old friend."
