Sorry, two in a row. But this one's, like, special kinds of special. What do you, fair guildees, think -- is it racist to stop looting after a hurricane?
I think the author would have a point if they didn't write it in such a massively retarded way. It's true that blacks or minorities in general fall into a socio-economic branch of society that, frankly put, has less money, chances and.. well less anything else. As a result, they're going to be the ones doing the looting, not the white suburban family up the street who has money for days and, while the hurricane hit them too, they probably have a backup plan and some arrangements for food and such now. Arguing against this is just stupid as these are the facts - statistically, minorities are more likely to have to loot, therefore they are statistically more likely to get caught. That's not white supremacy but simple logic. Skin color has very little to do with it other than being a factor that seems correlated to the socio economic status of people for historical reasons. It isn't and shouldn't be a get-out-of-jailcard for looting. The problem also is that emergency breaks law and therefore, people looting for food or drink probably shouldn't be taken to jail. I mean, it's a little concerning that your first thought is `let's loot` instead of `let's ask police for help` but I suppose if there's no other option, you're gonna loot. I expect everyone to loot if they need food and drink and there's no other way to obtain it. But from what I've seen so far it's not food and drink that's being looted, lol. People who are looting anything other than essentials should be punished as burglars or as something even worse because imho it's despicable to loot someones store after they had to evacuate it for the hurricane.
