"Long has there been the desire to tap into the Throne for use of its powers, of the familiar manifestations of the Heroic Spirits of ages gone by...yet we never expected such power to seek us out instead. Even if it was only for a fraction of a second so immeasurably small, an even smaller line in the sand was drawn dividing us from something...otherworldly. The incarnation of evil itself is at the door, peering in and gnashing its teeth in undulating desire to consume. To Connect. To Shatter as it has always done. Right now, the Holy Grail all Magus have sought after has manifested and sealed itself off in fear of this...beast. We've no means to defend ourselves, save for our final Countermeasure. And so, we plead to the Throne. Beg of it to spare us. And...it listened. A War wages for the Crown of Heroes, and here we have received the ephemeral shards of power that allow mere men and magus alike to stand against the impossible. Here...is where we stand, or we fall." -Director of the Muninn Anti-Servant Foundation, Matias Ansgar In a world without a ritual to call forth the Christened Cup filled with Humanity's wishes and the blood of the truest saint, a corrupt force from beyond attempts to seize it for itself. To fill it with itself, and to plunge a new world into Staying Night forever with a single wish. Dirtied and drenched in the essence of something far darker than a devil, being known as Corrupted Servants have made their existence known to the hidden world of Magi. Kidnappings, murders, occult worship, crime rates spiking through the roof in the Japanese Port City of Junyo have made despair and madness fester in the city, only feeding these Servants of another world. Now however, there stand the Masters; Humans who have by some form of luck, irony, or destiny come to possess the very same power these Heroic Spirits possess, harnessing them in the shadows of society to either right the wrongs dealt by Corrupted Servants, or just for their own personal gain. All have been observed by Muninn, and all have received invitation to their Organization, tasked with seeking out the source of the tear in Junyo, and putting an end to these Supernatural occurrences before the world comes to know of Magi and their craft. Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Assassin, Caster, Berserker, and Shielder; Whether the Masters who command the power of the cards succeed or fail will decide the fate of Junyo, and largely, the world. Even without a Holy Grail, we have a way. And we will cut our way through it.
Affinity: Every character has a "Class" Affinity and an "Alignment" Affinity. Both of these are chosen based on both the starting servant, and the general Alignment of the Master. Class Affinity determines the compatibility one has with a specific class, and could best be described as: "What type of Class Card one is best with". For example: The Master who starts with a Rider would be at 100% power at their skill level for using any Servant Class Card of the Rider Class, but would drop to 80% or even lower for another Class. Alignment Affinity isn't tied so much to power, as it is to compatibility with a given servant. Someone with a Lawful Good Alignment is far less likely to receive/be able to grow stronger with a servant of the Chaotic Evil Alignment. These are somewhat arbitrary, but Compatibility will matter for the sake of RPing with your communicating Servant Class Card. Include: By wrapping one's hand around a Class Card and "Crushing" it, the card will manifest into either the most basic weapon of the Servant the card corresponds to, or into some form of their power, whether it be via a spell, or a very weak version of a Noble Phantasm. Passively drains the user's Mana as long as it is in existance. Can be cancelled, even forcibly, if the weapon is removed from the person of the wielder. However, this isn't the case for all weapons such as Throwing Weapons, which will only Un-Include by the normal method of the user uttering: "Include Null." to remove the card. If desired, it is possible to Include any number of Servant cards, but bear in mind that more active increases the strain on the user. Another servant's weapon can be Included during an Install. Install: Pressing the card to one's heart, either just holding it to, or inserting it, the card will physically enter the body of the Master and temporarily establish a connection between them and the Servant contained within the card, granting them the powers, arsenal, and Class/Personal Skills of the Servant. In this state, one is considered a Superhuman on par with a lesser heroic spirit, although the user's Magic Circuits will be strained somewhat from having to bear the burden of a hero's mana. Use of Noble Phantasms will also increase that strain, and it is ill-advised to retain an Install form for too long for risk of Breaking their Magic Circuits beyond repair. However, if a Servant senses that their Master is in danger, it is possible for them to forcibly end the Install, although that will leave the Master vulnerable once more. It is important to judge wisely when to Install, and when to use a Noble Phantasm, as even a trained Magus can find themselves strained under such power. Exiting from this state is as simple as a thought, as the power is temporarily an extension of the user's body. However, through increased training, even a novice can learn to withstand the burden for longer periods of time. Mysteriously, even people without Magic Circuits are capable of using a Class Card, and will suddenly gain access to Circuits that never existed before. As such, the first Install is often the most painful, as it is there when an average person will have Mana Circuits forced into their body, often aligning well to those of their first Class Card. Even an experienced Magus would experience a realignment of Circuits, which is rather painful the more they have. Class Card Servants: The Mana and Ego of Heroic Spirits stored into strange magic cards, these Servants cannot act without a Vessel, and as such need someone to Install them. If carried on someone's person, they can speak into their minds with ease, although they cannot read the thoughts of their Master unless they are Installed. If a Class Card is struck directly with an offensive Noble Phantasm, it will shatter beyond repair, returning the Spirit inside to the Throne of Heroes.

The setting for the rp takes place in the year 2020 in the Port City of Junyo in the Kanto Prefecture. Boasting a population of roughly 500,000, the city is like any other, save for the fact that its basically sitting on a fault line between the encroaching forces of corruption and us. There are plenty of restaurants to visit in the area, along with a plethora of vistas for viewing the ocean from high up. Located near the center of the sprawling urban area lies the HQ of Muninn Foundation, which puts on a front of being a simple pharmaceutical company while working to keep the nature of magic hidden from the citizens while combating the threats that pour forth from the Fault. Many magus work for the company, although they do have some Non-Magus employees working under them, most with full knowledge of their activities and providing support for the company's activities in various ways, such as transportation and research.

B̫̮̞̖̲̲̬̔ä́̊̓d̸̝̦͆͒ ̼̦͉̬͖̼͕ͪ̏̈́ͮͪ̋́ṡ̖̄ͧ͠h̤̟̩̗̱͕î͚̊͒ͩt̢̠̟̙̟̘͔̝̓̑ ̃̀͗̈́ͅm̟̰̖̭̺̝͚ͣ̈̅ͧͤ̌aͦn͕̺͕̳̬͠. And, Servants that are either summoned by an outside force, or users of other class cards that are trying to cause trouble. Lethal force is authorized against those who've caused a great deal of damage or have been overtaken by their Card. Defeated Servants/Servant Card users may give players the opportunity to take their cards for themselves, adding to their arsenal. Heck, maybe sometimes you'll even wanna fight amongst each other. Which, y'know, is fine. Not like literal unspeakably horrible evil is trying to touch the world's butt or anything.

1. Be excellent to each other. I'm the only dick allowed here. 2. Write to your fullest. I'm asking at least a sufficient amount here based on what you got to work with. Not gonna set an ideal length, but given that this is Casual, I got a feeling you all know when a post is lacking or too long for its own good. 3. If you're gonna fight, make it fair. No auto-hitting other people if it PvP does initiate. 4. I reserve the right to be a dick later too! I might need to change up some rules, balance some servants that players have, but I'm doing it mostly for the sake of keeping things running smoothly. If I have to nerf your servant a bit, it really is nothing personal. 5. Be active and converse if you can! Out of character chatter in the OOC and idea brewing are what keep rps alive, so if you have an idea, don't be afraid to share it. 6. Don't be a weirdo. Keep the RP PG when it comes to romance or bodily dismemberment. If for some reason you wanna stick your dick in a card, that's not my business, but it is my business to tell you where to do it. 7. What? But I wanted that servant! When it comes time to grab a Servant card, unless you're all in mutual agreement, whoever is sensibly able to reach it first gets it. If this creates problems, I'm just gonna have it go to whoever I decide deserves it/is a good fit for it. Could always trade for it. 8. Life happens. I know this well, that people may find themselves having to take a leave of absence, or find themselves without a way to post or what not. All I ask is this: Just...tell me. Alright? I can't stop everything while wondering where someone who's been gone for a week is. I won't necessarily write you out of the story after a week, but if you're 100% not online on RPG for a month, then I may have to remove your character from the story. But, if I know that you're gonna be gone, then I can do something with your character to make sure that they don't wind up getting shanked in an alley for their cards. 9. Hands off other people's stuff! You cannot use another person's character, class card, or anything else belonging to their brain without their explicit consent. I however reserve the right to move characters around in my posts to keep things going. 10. Slow down there Buckaroo Bonzai! Post orders may slow things down, but it does help to make sure other people's replies are not lost to the void of 1x1 going on. If a chain of posts between two people starts to get too long, say having four back and forth posts without anyone else responding, that's not okay. 11. I'm an idiot. So uh...just kinda expect mistakes. If you got to the end, Insult me in your character sheet somewhere!

Appearance/Image: Name: Age: Gender: Height/Weight: Personality: Character Alignment: (This goes off the Fate/DnD scale of Good, Evil, Chaotic, Neutral, and Lawful, however being Chaotic Evil doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad person.
