All Will Be Well...
Name: Unknown Super Name: Blue Lantern Powers: Changing Name (The small Corgi has the power to inspire hope in many. To this end, whenever he meets someone, they are inspired to call him by the name of a pet that they used to love, that filled them with hope.) Hope Inspiration (It takes the most callous of hearts to not be inspired with hope for a better future when they look into his eyes or stroke his incredibly soft fur.) Speech (Unlike most Corgi's, he can talk. It is usually very simple and he will constantly remind people that he is, in fact, a dog.) Conduit of Blue (Like all Blue Lanterns, he has the following list of abilities) Energy Construct Creation (Like all Lanterns, the Blue Lanterns are able to create constructs that form to the wielders wishes. The Blue Lanterns use constructs generally associated with Hope. Unlike most, they very rarely use these powers to harm, so rarely form weapons, unless in self defense. Corgi also likes to make large pillows for sleeping and rolling around on.) Hope Empowerment (Corgi can draw on the hopes of those around him to empower him, he can also extend this power to those around him. Taking the hope of his allies and magnifying it many times, empowering himself and his allies exponentially.) Protection from Red, Yellow and Orange (Hope is intangible and indestructable. It cannot be corrupted with Averice, Rage or Fear.) Removal of Rage (The Red Lantern ring is a weapon of immense power, but it consumes its wielder, meaning that, once they take off the ring, they cannot survive. Blue Lanterns can purge the Red energy from their body and allow them to function again.) Flight Total Cellular Regeneration (Blue Lanterns possess the ability to completely regrow destroyed body parts. Several have been shown even able to repair parts of a person that were completely vaporized.) Technology: Blue Lantern Ring Acquaintances: Sadly, all gone. Although, he still holds hope that his Master is still out there, but can't remember his way home. The Blue Lantern Corps are his family now. He has also an honorary member of The Legion of Super-Pets along with Krypto, Ace, Streaky, Topo and Kanga. Personality: Hopeful. The Corgi, although nobody knows his name, is a being of pure hope. He is never seen without a big smile, a comforting paw and a long, panting tongue. He doesn't think too much, he is a dog and has no need to ponder the great mysteries of the universe. He likes to play, as soon as the days work is done, he loves Fetch and having belly-tickles. Bio: Many years ago, the Corgi was a simple dog. 7th in a litter of 9, his master picked him up when he was 3 months old and took him home. From that day forth, the two were inseperable. The only time they weren't together was when Master was at work. Then, one day, when the Corgi went to wake master up for another amazing day, master refused to wake. This confused the poor Corgi. But, he watched over his master. After a day, more people came to the house. They did strange things to the Master, but then took him away. Corgi assumed his sleeping had broke and they were going to take him to the human vet. Days passed and the Corgi waited outside, waiting and hoping of Masters return. The children of the neighbourhood were very kind to him, bringing him food and, when it rained, he got water. He found it very odd when new people moved into their house. But he thought it very rude when they wouldn't allow him in. They even called some other humans to take him away. He was taken to a strange place, but soon he escaped by digging his way through the bars. Every time he went home, the men took him back to the strange place. Eventually, he stopped asking to be let in and simply sat at the side of the road. Master would surely return one day. Weeks, turned to months. Corgi assumed they must have taken him to a strange vet and he didn't have his car, so he couldn't figure out how to get home. Corgi decided to go looking for Master, for if he couldn't find his way home, then it was up to him. Master would make everything better. Corgi found himself often being brought back to the strange place, usually when he fell into a trash-can and couldn't get back out. One day, during a snow-storm, Corgi felt cold. He knew he had to keep going forward, Master was out there and it was his duty to bring him home. The cold got to Corgi to the point where he felt like it was time for a nap. The ground was colder still, but a nap would give him the strength to find Master. He curled up, everything slowly going black as he drifted into what he was certain was sleep, his hopes being, as always, that Master would be there when he woke up. Then it went Blue... And warm. He heard a voice. "Hope... You will never stop searching. Even now, when Master is lost, Hope keeps you searching." He jumped up, it must be Master, he knew that warm feeling anywhere... But it was not Master, it was a strange blue ring... The Ring floated to him. It spoke again. "In fearful day, in raging night, With strong hearts full, our souls ignite. When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!" He repeated it, now finding himself capable of talking like Master did. In a brilliant flash, he was clad in the blue uniform, the ring adorning his constantly wagging tail, it was difficult to get a look at it. He was then transported to Odym, where he met the rest of the Blue Lanterns. They taught him how to harness the power of his ring, to protect people and to find his master. Although, he never quite understood why so many people looked a little perplexed at him when he explained how Master went missing. They always had a look of sorrow in their eyes. He didn't understand, he knew that he would find Master again one day, why should they be sad. When he went back to Earth to look for Master, he looked, quite literally, everywhere. He never gave up his hope, but he knew that Master was going to be difficult to find. This is when he met the Legion of Super-Pets. They took him in and he helped them to fight bad people, like the good boy he was. He never found Master, but he has found a new, loving family and they are everywhere. He can't wait to show Master all of the friends he has made. Maybe he will be a Blue Lantern too?
