Name: Quilo Gender: Male Species: Dragon Age: Hatchling Appearance: Quilo is a wyvern (his arms are his wings) of around two and a half feet from head to tail. His scales are white, gleaming like snow. He has two curved horns at the back of his head, and ridges of short spikes around his face. His red eyes should look intimidating, but don't, often wide with enthusiasm, a trusting look to them. Personality: Adventurous, daring and full of youthful energy, Quilo is one to take on challenges, sometimes ones he really shouldn't. He has a rough-and-tumble attitude, occasionally forgetting his own strength. A sociable dragon, he's quick to befriend others, to the point of not quite getting it when someone doesn't want to be befriended. Bio: From the moment he hatched, the little dragon thought himself alone in a cold, dark nook of the cave. The only things he knew about himself were a name in his head - Quilo - and that he had some connection to the wind whistling outside. As he took his first few steps, thrill overtaking fear, he noticed others like him, clambering in confusion from their eggs into an unfamiliar environment. This was his chance to get to know the others, and explore this strange, fascinating world. Power: Quilo has control over some types of weather. While he'll be able to summon raging snowstorms and lightning storms as he grows older and learns about his power, for now he doesn't fully know how to use it, and accidentally causes the weather to do odd things when he's angry or threatened. His control over wind allows him to fly even further and faster than he'd otherwise be able to. Type of Dragon: Ice dragon. This gives him the ability to breathe a frosty blast at prey and enemies, as well as withstand extremely low temperatures. Despite being built for the cold, he can survive in other climates, although particularly warm ones weaken him. Family: None that he knows of Friends: None yet Sentimental Attachment: None yet Other: He has an odd feeling he has some kind of bond with another being, although he doesn't know who that being is.

Name: Petronia Gender: Female Species: Dragon Age: Hatchling Appearance: Small and lithe, measuring around a foot and a half. Her scales are deep grey with a stony appearance. Standing out from her dark colouring are many amethyst-like, crystalline spikes. The three crystals protruding from her head like horns will become longer and more numerous as she grows. One gem is located on her neck, another on her chest. Her wings do not allow her to fly, instead bearing the majority of these striking features. The gems are usually bright purple, but when she's unwell or her power is depleted, they take on a pale, faded look. Personality: Wary and reclusive, with an attitude as spiky as the rocky ridges jutting from her body. She views anyone she doesn't know as a potential threat, especially humans. If necessary, she won't hesitate to defend herself with her teeth and claws. Highly independent, she prefers to figure things out on her own than ask for help, even when it would be a smarter idea to work with others. If she does let someone in, though, she'll be suprisingly loyal and protective. Bio: Right at the back of the cave, surrounded by crystal shards knifing from the ground, a small dragon crawled from a jewel-like egg, scared and confused. Part of the reason for her fear was the unfamiliarity of her surroundings, part of it was an instinctive wariness that intensified when she saw the other dragons. Her first reaction was to back away with a low growl, although deep down, she knew she had no choice but to venture out and learn to survive. Power: Control over light to create visual illusions, she can also temporarily blind enemies with brilliant flashes of light. Type of Dragon: Crystal dragon - Where the myth of dragons fiercely guarding gemstones comes from. Hunted long ago for the gems protruding from their bodies, this was one of the first species to die out. Although many had developed an instinctive cautiousness, this wasn't enough to save them. The magical properties of the sought-after crystals give the dragon some connection to the magic around them, so Petronia can sense if another dragon or a bonded human is nearby. When around her, just as light is amplified and refracted by a prism, other dragons find their abilities are slightly strengthened, which can be a good thing or a bad thing for Petronia - she can help allies, but unless she finds a way to control this property, the same boost is granted to her enemies. Family: None as far as she knows Friends: None, not worth the risk Sentimental Attachment: Sentimental? Her? Ha! Other: She may just find that a human - a natural enemy of sorts to a dragon like her - has bonded with her, and will go out of her way to avoid being found by said human.
