And if you try to point out to her the error of her ways, she'll give you hell. It could be now or it could be later, but it'll come. No one is allowed to criticize her and live to tell the tale. 

As awful as Scarlett is, she's also incredibly clever. Despite her violent nature and tendencies, her identity as a witch has remained secret and she hasn't been in detention once in her life, despite regularly bullying her fellow students. She has incredible strength and can find her way out of any situation, always prioritizing her own survival over others' safety, of course. She's definitely someone you don't want to mess with and you certainly don't want to be her friend either. She treats them just like how she treats everyone else. It's best if Scarlett doesn't know you exist.

[b][color=ff0000]Life Before the Murder:[/color][/b] Scarlett's family has always been one for traditions. Each generation would learn to hunt out at the family cabin in Massachusetts, regardless of gender. It was forward thinking back in the early twentieth century when it originated, though some Cromwells would swear on their life that the tradition actually originated in the seventeenth century. Of course, there was another tradition in the Cromwell family: witchcraft. It skipped generations, with the last recorded Cromwell witch living in the Roaring Twenties. 

That was the case until half a century later when Scarlett came along. As a small child, strange things always happened around her. The nursery would be perfectly clean one moment and a complete mess the next. It was always blamed on either the nanny or the maid until Scarlett was four years old. Her nanny had insisted that she take a nap and Scarlett wasn't having it. A butcher knife flew up at its own accord and impaled the poor nanny. The Cromwell family covered up the incident, realizing that Scarlett was a natural witch, gifted with telekinesis. 

Now not only was Scarlett the baby of the family, she was also the star child. She was proficient in all of the family traditions, even communicating with their ancestors at Cromwell House in Boston with a pendulum. Everyone showered her with affection and Scarlett ate it all up. Her younger cousins all adored her, while the older cousins and siblings despised her. Scarlett's ego blossomed along with her witchcraft and her talents, but she always wanted more from life. She wasn't like her cousin who dreamed of being on reality TV--no, Scarlett wanted more than that. She wanted power in its purest form. 

Having lived in Silver Falls since she was seven years old, Scarlett has dominated the social scene. Everyone who was anyone knew who Scarlett was and anyone worth knowing was invited to her annual Halloween Party. It would be held in the woods and feature a variety of horrifying attractions, along with a séance or two. It was when Scarlett's double life would converge into a singular point: popular bitch and bonafide witch. She's leaving Silver Falls in the fall for college and honestly would be delighted to see the small place burn to the ground. There's nothing else there to hold her attention, so what's the point, right?

[b][color=ff0000]History with Lucy Taylor:[/color][/b] Scarlett and Lucy were, by all appearances, besties. Of course, with popular kids that's rarely the case. Scarlett was sweet to Lucy's face and behind her back, she spread nasty rumors and lies about her. She once tried to convince the student body that Lucy had gotten it on with a goat after a college boy wouldn't sleep with her. Losing homecoming queen to Lucy was an insult, with a pissed Scarlett only getting crowned princess. If there was anything that Scarlett could do to hurt Lucy's popularity, she did it. She even tried to push the girl down a flight of stairs the day before homecoming, only to have the principal walk by at the last minute, stopping Scarlett in her tracks. 

Needless to say, she cracked open a bottle of champagne when news spread that Lucy Taylor was dead. It was an early Christmas.
