Well, that is three of you, plus myself.  Give me a little time to get the actual RP posted.  (Still at work - messed up day mostly sit and wait with lots of interruptions.)

So far it is looking like a law abiding group.  For those who have never researched the history of the era, there were no female detectives for some time.  However the Pinkerton Agency had a whole division of them who worked undercover starting in 1850.  Thing is, the Pinkertons had a Code that we would probably find too restrictive.  And mostly they had to travel.

While I want to stay as historical as possible, I will probably do a few things out of historical context - like having towns founded earlier.  Or I may make a region just slightly wetter to allow for livestock and farms (who usually don't like each other).

That said, I will probably edit my own characters a little to fit the story.  I think the main role of the group will be a team of bounty hunters and detectives with less of a Code than the Pinkertons.  They will, however, abide by the law.  They won't simply take on the role of vengeance.  But if someone has just cause and registers their complaint with the Law enough for a warrant, they will be willing to be hired.  

My Teacher character is a lightning fast gunslinger who has been shooting since she was six years old.  She has yet to kill anyone.  That doesn't mean she won't shoot a gun hand or foot.  She practices using skeet (with pistols).  She will likely be the ones who trains anyone who lacks a good skill.  Her family was in the top 1% of wealthy elite back in Britain, owning a vast coal industry, British Tea Company stock and projects in Africa.  She will be funding the group to start out. 

My doctor character is effectively the group CSI.  Her family was originally what would become Russian mafia.  Her father was trying to go legit in a time of political and religious upheaval in what is now Lithuania. She was being hunted by a Prussian Baron turned gunslinger to whom her father had tried to marry her off to.  The teacher took out the Baron (alive) and collected the bounty.  That became the start of the agency.
