Welcome to the Wild West.  Here on the frontier women are second class citizens.  They lack any real rights.  Women who engage in improper behavior are shunned by polite society.  But, a few laws have been passed that allow women to do things like own land.  The Homestead Act of 1862 did that.  For the most part women are limited to the lobs they can have.

the main role of the group will be a team of bounty hunters and detectives with less of a Code than the Pinkertons.  They will, however, abide by the law.  They won't simply take on the role of vengeance.  But if someone has just cause and registers their complaint with the Law enough for a warrant, they will be willing to be hired.  

My Teacher character is a lightning fast gunslinger who has been shooting since she was six years old.  She has yet to kill anyone.  That doesn't mean she won't shoot a gun hand or foot.  She practices using skeet (with pistols).  She will likely be the ones who trains anyone who lacks a good skill.  Her family was in the top 1% of wealthy elite back in Britain, owning a vast coal industry, British Tea Company stock and projects in Africa.  She will be funding the group to start out. 

My doctor character is effectively the group CSI.  Her family was originally what would become Russian mafia.  Her father was trying to go legit in a time of political and religious upheaval in what is now Lithuania. She was being hunted by a Prussian Baron turned gunslinger to whom her father had tried to marry her off to.  The teacher took out the Baron (alive) and collected the bounty.  That became the start of the agency.

The RP will center on the area of Holbrook, AZ.

Some alterations of reality.  The river is going to be a little bigger than the real one.  The stretch of land along the river will be a little more fertile and able to support livestock.
Holbrook will had a town population of about 50, with about 125 ranchers on the north side of the river, and about 75 people on the Other Side of the River (blacks, hispanics, etc).  Total population 250.  Today Holbrook has about 5000.
