Fail. Learn. Repeat."}

Ever since the critical failure at the Power Plant and Magneto's plans to potentially wipe out the human race, S.H.I.E.L.D. had shifted some resources around. Not only were both Cassandra and Guin given icers, but they also had access granted to the dwarves. Guin's watch was still both broken and missing, prompting her to figure it had been lost during the explosion at the plant. Either way, she could always make another one--if she had time. Between school and S.H.I.E.L.D., she barely had time to sleep. Nina was right about one thing--Guin did trust Pietro. It was one thing that she and Professor X both shared: a belief in second chances. The worst thing Pietro had done so far was crash her birthday party and he didn't seem to be the sort to double cross them all. Everything she had came from war profiteering, even if Stark Industries didn't sell or manufacture weapons anymore. Her father changed his ways and became Iron Man, he became an Avenger. There was no reason to suppose that Pietro couldn't do the same or anyone else for that matter. Except for Nina. Guin hated that bitch. An icer was strapped to a side holster for easy access. She had been hoping they'd get ones that would only operate with a genetic confirmation lock, but there hadn't been the resources for that. S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn't even been able to ensure they were made from polymers void of metal, but as a scientist and an engineer, Guin knew that wouldn't stop Magneto forever. One day, perhaps he'd have full control over electromagnetism rather than just metals. She put plenty of bits of wiring in the various pockets of her uniform, not wanting to have to destroy another pair of earbuds for nothing. It was a research lab, but it was good to be careful. An old prototype of her watch (ironically which was another prototype) was tucked into her pocket. It was small and only was capable of projecting a hologram of a computer terminal, which could then be used for hacking on the fly. Her father later upgraded and made it into lenses for glasses, so he could use his devices with just sunglasses on, but she hadn't had time to grab one of those models. Guin felt strange for a moment as she put her badge in her pocket as well. When she learned to fight initially, it had been with a sword. It had been with the intent that if her life was ever again in jeopardy, she would be able to put up a struggle, rather than go quietly. People had been targeting Stark Industries and by extension, Guin's father, her entire life. Her 'Uncle' Obidiah had attempted to assassinate her after Tony had been captured in Afghanistan. Nina had attempted to steal classified information, after tearing a new one into Tony. There were countless others as well, all with their own agendas. Guin had learned how to fight in order to protect herself. But now it was time to be a shield for someone else. She didn't have any illusions that she would survive this mission, as she tucked the few empty vials away that Beast had given her in case no appropriate containers were at the lab. "I need a sword," Guin whispered to herself, before beginning to search the mansion for one.
