[@Lyla] Something that was bothering me, that I wonder if you can shed some light on, is the Skill system. It seems unreasonable to assume that every character, regardless of speciality and background will have the same number of skills. Not to mention, you're including basic and non-combat skills alongside what the character has trained and battle skills. Were this modern, you would not put bike-riding or swimming as a trained skill. I do not see why other similarly mundane skills require us to not only list them, but spend the same points we use for our battle skills and the like to acquire them. Not so much me complaining, don't get me wrong tomato. I'm just trying to be helpful! Also why do you give the example of horseback riding when horses aren't real? Asking for a friend.
If you're going to stick with the skill point system, I think it might be prudent to at least offer some concession to people who want to take a non-combat role, and allow mundane skills to be purchased for a fixed amount of skill points regardless of actual skill level, within reason. For example, even if your character is great at cooking for example, it would still be Cooking[1]. Taking the 1 point mundane skill would imply the skill is "trained", the extent of which is determined by the writer. There would be no need to spend a whole 5 points just to say the person whose been a chef all their life is a trained chef. That's just my opinion (as somebody who isn't a super huge fan of skill buy systems), though.
