Name: Nathanial Cade

Appearance: Tall and rawboned, a mix of Welsh and German with dark hair and eyes. Missing the top half of his left ear. Scarred knuckles. Early thirties. Clean-shaven when he can manage it. 

Biography: A former confederate sharpshooter, Cade has since made a name for himself as a bounty hunter. He won't attack peaceful Indians, but will cheerfully collect scalps and bounties on tribes who have attacked white men. In work, he likes to ambush his target, usually at range. He will shoot a man in the back quite cheerfully and produce his warrant immediately after. He usually doesn't bother with the bonus 'alive' money. Despite his violent profession, he's a cautious man and doesn't like unnecessary risks. He also has a very low tolerance for bullshit. When a local sheriff tried to cheat him out of his bounty money, Cade called him out on it and killed him in a public duel. 

Equipment: His favorite weapon is a Winchester repeater 45-70, a 'real man's gun' he dryly quips before letting some poor fool batter his shoulder to bits trying to handle the recoil. Also carries two .45 Long Colt revolvers in crossdraw holsters and a derringer on his right ankle. A bowie knife rides across the small of his back, hilt to the right, and another is in his left boot. 

Skills: Aside from the usual soldierly skills of shooting, riding, and sitting around waiting, Cade has some knowledge of blacksmithing and working cattle.
