The government is a dictatorship, led by a singular ruler who leads until death.
The current leader is Commandant Soren Khyne.

History: Right after WWII, late 1946, an extremely pro-US group known as the Spirits of Liberty staged a coup in Cuba, setting themselves up as it’s leaders and immediately opening the country to free trade. Coupled with it’s fertile soil and mineral riches it became a central trading hub between the West and the East. The population and economy swelled with this newfound power. The nation grew quickly, being joined by many other Caribbean nations in what is now called the American Liberation Front. The technology of the ALF rapidly advanced to accommodate the world powers. Over time it became an economic and technological powerhouse, it’s crowning achievement of creating cheap exoskeletons that enhances the strength of soldiers and civilians alike, but also reduces speed and mobility. They have not been successfully mounted with armor and weapons yet, but it is currently being attempted.

Soren Khyne: An American nationalist that left the US to build a paradise in it’s image. He has an intense hatred of those who restrict freedom and communists. He used to be part of a black ops unit for the CIA during the cold war and fought all over the world, and decided that the world would be a better place if all was part of the United States.
