Getting up was made more difficult by all the blood and brain matter that covered the deck. The pain in her head had fortunately subsided, but she was still left feeling like crap. She slowly got her feet under her, her blood soaked clothes weighing her down slightly. Once she steadied herself on her feet, she carefully walked across the slick deck to Harlianne's side. She purposefully avoided looking at Luisa and Isaac, not wanting to see their lifeless bodies, or better yet what was left of them. As she stopped alongside her captain, her blue eyed gaze finally took in the sheer devastation out on the docks. "Damn," she exclaimed in astonishment. The devastation that Luisa had unintentionally left in her wake was insurmountable. It was frightening to think someone or something could hold such power. Despite the massacre that was laid out before her eyes and her own near death experience, Sirena held no ill will towards the girl. How could she? As far as she was concerned, Luisa had been just as much a victim of this. However, not everyone would see it that way, so perhaps it was good the girl was no longer among the living. She let out a small sigh, looking over to Harlianne. Right then, Sirena's eyes weren't as full of life as they normally were. They were duller, and given the circumstances, it should be understandable. "Where should we start then?" she inquired. It almost felt like a dream, a dream come true. A shiver ran down his spine as he could practically feel her breath on his neck. Her words did not seem to fully register with him, at least not yet. Instead his eyes closed for a moment, simply savoring the sweet sound of her voice. The pain that had gripped his body was now replaced with a comforting sense of warmth. Oh how he missed her and yearned to see her again. She was the only light in his world of darkness. His eyes opened again, and they widened when we saw before him his beautiful fiancée Alisanne Riviere. He pushed himself up off the ground and got to his feet. His eyes never left her. He was entranced by her. He vaguely noted how she wore the same icy blue gown she had donned the day they first met. Her dark locks even had those same little flowers pinned into it. A niggling sensation said something was off here, but he fought against it. He truly did not want this, or her, to be a mere figment of his imagination. Édouard was dead and Alisanne was here by his side. What more could he possibly ask for? "Alisanne?" he stated, though it unintentionally came out more as a question. He slowly and carefully approached her, trying to avoid all of the carnage, but not daring to look away from her. He was afraid that if he looked away from her, even for a split second, she would disappear. He soon came to a stop in front of her. His brows furrowed slightly as her words slowly began to sink in. "Are you really here?" he breathed out as his hand gingerly came up to caress her cheek. When he felt her soft skin, words could not truly describe the joy and yearning that overwhelmed him. Thoughts of this being all a mere figment of his imagination were swept away in an instant. His strong arms suddenly pulled her into his chest, and then he leaned down to press his lips to hers. And hereby ensued the awkwardness for everyone else.
