A low toned frown formed upon his face with dim blue eyes. He still maintained the medikit within his hands. Keeping Max within the periphery of his vision, in case he became trigger happy. The Nekomi was wearing a leather jacket with a satchel bag. She had a layered short haircut, ears and amber eyes. Her tone and demeanour was almost a bit too jovial considering he was being held at gunpoint! She continued to speak, saying that she had witnessed the crash and suggested Max had been chased down by adversaries of some sort. Which made Xell believe that maybe he hadn’t crashed his plane due to being cack-handed. Still, the comment had him quiet for a moment and it was funny to watch. He pursed his lips at the Nekomi’s backhanded comment about his thieving skills. Not so much with too much disapproval but more to do with wondering how she, too, may have known what he had been up to. “Really?” he called out to her “You’re going to side with him on this one? It’s not like he noticed you sneak up behind him!” Xell turned back to glare at Max, who still, was not letting up. The fact that he hadn’t pivoted much to note or turn to divide his attention to the newcomer made the distrust all the more tangible. Still, it was worth considering that he had lowered his aggressive stance somewhat since offering to return the goods. ’Jerk’ Xell gritted his teeth, as he started to make his way slowly towards the group with the kit in his hands. ’All because I felt sorry for the poor urchin on the floor. He still wasn't sure if the youth had been assaulted by Max. He hadn't heard much from the Coon who was tending towards him so was taking the benefit of the doubt for now. One of the 3 things Xell predicted did happen indeed, and that was the most conservative response. Although it’s not an option many in his position would want to give into for a smug, gun wielding, self-righteous entrepreneur, in Xell’s head it was a tactical outcome. After all, why fight when your opponent was clearly in a more overpowered position at a given time? He stopped before Taffy, the unconscious Yonath, and Max. He briefly turned to look at Nikki who remained on a higher platform among the branches of the fallen oak tree. Looking on like a curious cat. Xell tilted his head to one side and gave Max a phoney smile. “Here you go,” he passed the medikit towards Max. Letting it go and fall to the floor. “Too bad you have your hands full.” “Since you seem to be catered for fixer-uppers and so on,” Xell nodded towards Nikki, before looking back at Taffy and Max “Guess this means I’ll be going then?”
