His attention snared away from sizing up the yobbo like Spicati to turn towards the Lotori girl who spoke for the first time since the gathering started to get as tense as it did. For someone who had been trying to keep their cool and composure throughout the whole face off and since the arrival of the Nekomi, she sure had a way of spontaneously combusting. Her tone appeared to lighten up and seem less rigid as she turned from Novan to Novan to tell them what they were to do. Even trailing off as she spoke to the lastest newcomer, Nikki, and even seemed welcoming and almost sympathetic when addressing her. The Draconi looked up towards the evening sky as if looking for answers. Rolled his eyes and sighed. A cross between a defeated and a frustrated exasperation. Truth be told, of course he felt guilty for causing trouble. He knew he had some issues and that his venture out here was very single minded. However, he still wanted to make sure the group was going to be alright. Especially the withered looking otter. Being held at gun point and threatened was the only preoccupation he had that was making this expedition sour for him as of yet. He had his eyes half shut with an unimpressed look as he folded his arms and turned to scowl at the Novan Medical student. Her stern look back was unfaltering. “Ok, fine. I’ll help you carry the kid…” he replied reluctantly. Sneering at Max as their eyes met momentarily. Xell mouthed the obvious with no sound as he had two fingers pointed towards his own eyes, before pointing one finger at Max sharply. The grey Draconi turned to look at Nikki, narrowing his eyes at her too. Seemed she knew too much, especially with regards to her earlier comment on how he was a bad thief. He did come to realise, however, that the other part of her comment about him not intending to take off with the medikit may have been a sympathetic gesture. Still, he had to be wary of her too it seemed. Xell had his body half turned to look at Yonnath skeptically. His arms guarded towards his chest. Now that he was in close proximity to the otter boy, his withered state was all the more visceral. Just as he took some cautious steps towards him, in the process of bending down to pick him up- “Far f^&*ng out!” Xell shielded his eyes as the body flared up in flames. The sharp fahrenheit and radiation causing him to have to shield his face. The momentum of the fire and intensity appeared to hit its own terminal velocity as the flames died out which left a reminiscent smell of burning bandages. Causing the Draconi to drop his guard and look back at the body in apprehension which, by now, had bolted upright. “I am the LAST one! YOU CANNOT...!” The youth was in a sweat and looked wide eyed as his irises turned towards everyone within the gathering. There was a moment’s long pause. The silence robbing everyone of a forthcoming reaction or voice temporarily. Making the crickets chirping in the background all the more palpable. “Do you think he’s still going to need us to carry him?” Xell said in a loud whisper to Taffy, holding a hand to the side of his mussel as he did so.
