Low Street Tier
Well, I suppose all the vigilantes have cool aliases, if I'm gonna be one I need one too... Ah fuck it, I'll just call myself...
Alias
Civilian Name: Shams Al'Harasa Origin city/Planet: Abu Dhabi, UAE Hometown: Hub City Sex: Female Race: Human (Arabic) Height: 5'11" Weight: 150 lbs. Age: 30 Birth Date: March 1st -------- Costumed Appearance: Alias wears a simple outfit, a pantyhose sock over the head and a white dress-shirt, black tie, and brown gun-belt. She wears a red scarf, covering the mouth, blue latex gloves, and black dress pants. Sometimes she wears a blue rain-coat over this outfit with the hood drawn down. When it's daytime and its hot outside, she wears knee-length shorts and a sleeveless dress-shirt, worn with a tie. When performing interrogations she has a wide array of other outfits, including a clown outfit, a gimp costume, a suit, and an alien costume. One thing that Alias does in all outfits is strap her breasts down, they're a hindrance in combat, and not having them can be helpful for shifting outfits during interrogation. On duty she wears her hair in a simple ponytail and neglects make-up.
Icon: An "@" symbol. Costumed Personality: "You have thirty seconds to tell me, or I bring out Bill." Alias is a quiet, brutal, and yet still eccentric vigilante. Alias rarely speaks when in costume, except when attempting to frighten suspects, and when she does, her statements are angry assaults on the victim. Her fighting style is brutal and efficient, and she seems to bring pleasure out of causing harm to others. Alias also seems distrustful of government authority, and when she speaks to an ally, she has a litany of reasons as to why she hates the government, most of which are based in fact, and others... which aren't. When interrogating a target, Alias uses a variety of strange outfits and other personalities in order to disorient and confuse the target, the only constant being Alias herself who expresses empathy in an attempt to get the target to state what they know. Civilian Personality: "I'm a police officer, I can't do anything but wave my gun and hope they don't have a bigger one." Shams is bitter and rude, constantly complaining about the sorry state of the Hub City Police Department and how little power she possesses to actually stop crimes. She is also very defensive due to having to constantly deal with racism, and it is very hard to gain her trust, whether you are an individual or an organization. Despite all of this, Shams truly believes in bettering the world, even if that seems like an impossible goal. Shams is a sadist, and enjoys seeing others in pain, but attempts to rein this aspect of her personality in most times. Super abilities: -Skills: »Detective - Shams is employed as a detective, and is talented in this role, capable of deductive reasoning and observation. »Brawling - Growing up in Hell's Corner lends itself to at lest some combat skill, and Shams is more than capable of handling herself in a fight, even against more than one opponent. »Interrogation - Shams has spent a large amount of time attempting to become better at interrogation, and she has become talented enough to rouse sensitive information from even some of the toughest and most resistant targets. -Gadgets: »Tear-gas »Crowbar (Also doubles as a weapon) -Weapons: »Crowbar »Glock 17 pistol. Civilian Occupation: Police detective. Biography --------- Character History/Origin: Shams Al'Harasa was born in the city of Abu Dhabi, of the United Arab Emirates, formerly Trucial States. Her family was descended of nobility, and she was quite well off as a child. However, before she could remember, a member of her family was found to be performing terrorism in Arab Union territory. Not willing to risk their wrath, the Emirs expelled her family from the UAE, and they were forced to flee to America. The Al'Harasa family eventually settled in Hub City, the cheapest housing they could find. This meant that they were forced to settle in Hell's Corner, a slum in the city almost as bad and notorious as The Wedge. Shams found herself living in poverty for her entire childhood, forced to live on very little and dealing with racism and brutal attacks on her and her family. Shams, wishing to change this, joined the police as soon as she was able, but found herself disappointed with the lack of power they expressed over the city slums. Shams felt furious at this, and quickly began bending to law to her own whims, but even so found herself restricted by the limits of being a police officer. Learning of The Question, and his crusade against gang violence and other crime, she decided to herself become a vigilante, finally getting the chance to change the city on her own terms. This would also prove a great opportunity to meet with this Question fellow, who intrigued her immensely.
