Although Sophia took on a look of distress at the warning about berserk Pokemon, she still expressed a desire to leave the gym, as did Oscar. The first time she'd stopped by this town, she hadn't had a chance to do much exploring before being called away on an assignment, but now this was part of her task, and would allow Oscar and Sophia to train in the meantime.
