Personality: A man who holds desire and enjoys to see ambition in others around him. “It would not do well to prove one’s self superior over others who simply lie down and roll over on demand.” Believing in his own ability with a self-confidence that can be said to be arrogance, it is nevertheless a confidence he carries as a necessity. To not be proud of himself is an insult to those who came before him, for he is not simply a man but a process. The arrogance to connect himself with Saturn in his title stems partially from his personality, but also as a symbolistic show that he considers himself the answer to the desire and end of a master race, of the bringing of beings who are on the same authority as the worshipped lord of rings and King of Kings. Pride is a rather important part on him, and even if he may in a contradictory manner act in a way that seems quite unprideful or cowardly to attain his goals, he is the sort who believes that there is a sense of pride and bearing in being willing to stain one’s self to reach one’s end goals if the goal is worthy enough. An idea that he holds due to looking upon it as a matter similar to Alchemy.

Biography:Brauer, the alchemist that is the Herstelle family’s fifth generation heir, and representative. A man who left his family’s lands and personal workshop and embarked upon the stage of the world and nation. Joining the Thule Society after its establishment when he was a young man studying within the Sea of Estray. In an unexpected deviation from the norm, he strayed from the Mage Association and found himself delving further into the influence of the group that intertwined with the rising new regime of Germany. Confident in his abilities, proud of his legacy and desiring to prove himself a substantial contribution to the Herstelle lineage, he saw the rising organization, and the spread of Nazi Ideology as a potential avenue of support that could advance his ambitions further than he could ever with the resources that are limited to the scale of a family. By presenting his work as useful for their ideologies, and the answer to their goals he dreamed and foresaw the level of a scale of a nation’s resources at his disposal. Yet despite making plans to use the ideologies of those who preached of purity and greatness as mere stepping blocks the charisma and fervor of those around him began to consume him. Seductive, the men around him cast a powerful flame of earnest desire, born of dreams and the lust for greatness and power. Some believed in the ideologies to the earnest, some simply saw the potential like Brauer in how it could be leveraged for their own gain or used as a simple moral justification that swept away guilt and accountability for their actions.

Despite staying to the course of his ultimate goal, Brauer found himself changing the direction of his research and the focus of his magecraft, using the already conducted advancements of his family and the notes that he was able to attain thanks to the aid of the Thule Society, to work on attaining something that could get them to some form of actualization of the desires of the Nazis. Yes, even if he might not truly believe to the core, even if he might be using them for his own gain. In a way he does not wish for the betrayal of such passion and adamant belief by what could be a fruitless, cold future of nothing.

Although such a thing may also stem from the idea that he believes he can be their salvation, the engineered savior that they would look up to as well… A person who means no bad, but perhaps it would simply feel much nicer if he was a simpler person who purely just wished to utilize others? Ah, what a pain!

Family History: Unlike many magi who migrated towards the influence of the Clock Tower they are a family that continues to associate with the Sea of Estray instead. A family of alchemists who decided not to create things that can be pure in their stead, or things that are strong because they are weak. They looked upon humanity itself as the work that they should attempt to refine and recreate. A theory is held by the Herstelle that humanity has diversified too much from its origin to reach the root of all. However modern humanity cannot be anything but modern humanity, and so the decision to pursue the refinement of modern humanity to remove its impurities and remake it while still keeping it as something that is “modern humanity” was made.

[b]Herstelle Alchemy[/b]

Alchemy based not on the concept of chasing after the Magnum Opus, in other words, the Philosopher’s Stone. The Herstelle is instead based on the modification and creation of life. The creation of homunculi falls within their purview but rather than focus on a line of focus that they are grossly outdone in by the likes of the Einzberns they instead focus on applying the refinement processes of Alchemical Creation on existing lifeform, rendering living lifeforms, and life force as materia, and heat. While originally simply pursuing the steps of the Magnum Opus to utilize it on lifeforms and create a superior state of being for one’s self to try and pursue the route, similar to the idea of recreating the original human body like a future puppetmaster will. The possibility of a shortcut through the idea of a positive regression, to remove the impurities that are born and propagated of the mixing of blood and the decline of the world through focus on the first step, Nigrido, seemed to hold potential to the Thule Society. Gaining the support and some leftover heretical knowledge from the former member of the Sea of Estray, Fabro Rowan, Brauer has mostly focused on the creation of a prima materia that could be shaped and purified.

Rather than simply using lifeforms as material to create brand new lifeforms as the idea behind his creations, it could be said to be a remaking of the base lifeform.

While it goes without saying, as the heir to the Herstelle magecraft he holds a magic crest that carries the research of his predecessors and his own research within it.

The creation of a conceptual bounded field. The Black Sun Wheel of the Thule Society and the oroborus of alchemy is the core of a Black Sun (Womb) borrowed from the legends of the Aztecs. A bounded field that represents eternal reoccurance, and the cycle of life and death. Things will die and be reborn, forever repeating and yet changed. A false ocean of primordial life. It does not give birth to life but instead rebirths life, decomposition,and putrefaction. Lifeforms placed within this womb are rendered into a prima materia and rebirthed.

The top secret nazi weapon of Die Glocke. Or rather, one that bears the name of it. Just as the Fuyuki Grail War is a Grail instead of the Grail, this is a Die Glocke. Rather than a scientific miracle device in this case it is in fact a mystic code  A weapon that is meant to spread the effect of an imperfect nigrido. Rather than rendering things into a original materia it is instead a faulty and ruinous decomposition. Degradation and erosion of the body and lifeforce undergoes as a result of exposure. Blood would gel and separate, plants would turn into mud and grease. Beings would cease to be beings and simply become corpses and flesh. Truly a cruel weapon of war, created not for the advancement of knowledge, defense or even for the sense of creation. A thing made only to kill.

A good public speaker, and a fan of film. Despite the concept of camera and photo being anathema to the mysteries of the supernatural world and the ideas of magi, Brauer is nevertheless a person who enjoys being filmed, and has created many films to send in as an explanation of his status versus other means such as a simple telephone. Quite a wasteful and expensive hobby! Especially considering that one of the reasons he often has a homunculus accompanying him is to film him as one of its duties.

It goes without saying that his own collection of movies is substantial as well. From the works of  Georges Méliès, Luigi Maggi or Mack Sennett. Along with specific films such as the Birth of a Nation, The Cabinet of Doctor Carigari.
