With the little amount of rest that they’d get in-between the exams, the team would face it head-on. Despite how the object of this current task was for it to be an old fashioned free-for-all, It would, at the least, be smart for them to stay together. Jaakuna knew there was strength in numbers and they’d probably be able to survive longer by sticking by each other’s side. Yeah, that was a solid plan. Too bad Kiku seemed to have different ideas. Not that long after the official announcement, she used some sort of genjutsu that, for all intents and purposes, blinded her team just long enough for her to take off. Jaakuna was not the manliest when it came to darkness. As someone who thrived in the light, he didn’t handle it well, but it would not be like before, ya hear? Jaakuna might be a lot of things, but a consistent crybaby wasn’t one of them. At the very least, he would suck it up until light beckoned him once more. After a few long moments, whatever kind of shit Kiku pulled soon faded away and Jaakuna was left with his newly-discovered partner-in-crime (so to speak). The two, no matter how unlikely of a pair they seemed to others, had something that worked. Kurin was the brains with a sturdy nature like the wood he commanded and Jaakuna was the quick-striking dancing man of fire and lightning that could handle most, if not all, enemies. Not exactly ideal or what one would expect, but they made it work for them. “So now what?”
