Ophelia watches as Roxas stares at her, then apologises. “Does it look alright?” she asks him. She didn’t really have self esteem issues, but she was nowhere near popular like Jax was, so always seemed to second guess herself. She then looked to the seamstress who simply nodded at Ophelia’s question, and turned away to continue working. Ophelia then turned around to look at herself in the mirror, Roxas in the reflection behind her. Roxas smiles at Ophelia. “That dress looks really fantastic to you.” Hoping she’ll smile back at him. “Do you like it?” He says sheepishly. He thinks about getting a little closer to her but decides to stay where he is. Ophelia smiles at him softly in the mirror, “I think it’s beautiful. Are you sure this is okay?” She didn’t dare look at the price of it, too afraid of what the damage might be. Instead she simply waited for him to respond, still feeling uneasy. Roxas looks at the price of the dress and his eye widen a little. “Why don’t you go ahead and take that off and I’ll go pay for it.” Ophelia nods gently and goes to change back into the long off white dress she had originally went to SPA in, instead of the teal and gold dress meant for practice. With bare feet she walks up beside Roxas and then turns to lead the way back out to the market. “Were you wanting something to eat? I don’t know where the places to eat are around here, as you might imagine.” While Ophelia changed, Roxas went up to go pay. “That’ll be 2,000 Solars.” Even though he already knew the price, he still grunts to himself. He pulls out a bag and gives it to the woman. “Here you go.” After he grabs the dress, he meets back up with Ophelia. “I’m okay to wait till dinner if you want.” “Okay, that’s fine by me. Let’s go get that arrow and your glaive and we can head back to my house, if you like. It’s nothing really that fancy, just to warn you…” Ophelia says, the end of her sentence sounding a little bitter for a moment. “Thank you for buying me a new dress. You really didn’t need to. But I’m curious, who you were talking about before, in the shop?” “Not a problem. I owed you anyways.” Roxas smiles at Ophelia then pauses once she asked her question. “Her name was Celti. She was my best friend if not my only friend. She was like Jax, a demon summoner. One day we were on this hunt and it was too much for just the two of us. I was going to rip my mask off to help her, but she stopped me…” He takes a deep breath and continues. “She summoned the most powerful demon you could. Ifrit. She couldn’t control him and she took her life. Sending me and the hunt flying. I got up to go find her and she was gone. Since then I have been alone, working hunts to try and make up for what happened.” Roxas keeps walking and makes it to the blacksmith to pick up his order. “Here’s your arrow.” He hands it over to Ophelia. “How long ago was that?” She asks in return after listening to this woman he spoke about. His voice sounded a mixture of sad and loving, and she gave a sideways glance to see his expression. “Did you love her?” Ophelia knew it wasn’t much of her business, but love had always made her curious. She longed for someone to love her, besides her family and had simply not found what she was looking for quite yet. She knew she had probably an unrealistic ideal of what it would be like, but still a girl could dream. “That was four years ago.” Roxas walks over to the water fountain and sits down. “You know I probably loved her but I never said anything to her. Looking back on it I wish I did.” Laughs under his breath. “She couldn’t have loved me though. Who would love me? I have this damn voice in my head trying to control me. Why anyone want someone like that.” He tilts his head back and looks at the sky. “I’ll never forget that day though. I lost my only friend. Anyways I don’t want to ruin your day with my sob story. What would you like to do next? We have a bit of time before dinner.” He looks over at Ophelia, a small tear dropping down his cheek. Ophelia sits carefully against the fountain beside Roxas and listens to his story, though staying quiet when he asks “who would love me?” She chewed on her lip a little, nodding while listening. “I’m sorry that happened to you. And well, we could go watch the boats for a while, or just wander back to my house. I promise you it’s a ways away. We don’t live near the city centre. Come on,” she stands again and turns her head in the direction of her home, feeling suddenly nervous. She would need to feed again soon. Maybe after the boys left once dinner was finished. Roxas look up at Ophelia and sees her face. He notices that her expression changed, assuming that she’s hungry. “How much do you need?” He stands up and looks at Ophelia. Ophelia was taken aback for a moment, staring at Roxas as he stood tall over her while she remained seated. “Not too much. But you really don’t need to do that. I can go hunting later when dinner is over. Not to worry.” She smiled softly, her eyes to the ground now, feeling them beginning to darken and her throat becomes tight as it burns very slightly just at the thought. Roxas takes Ophelia by the hand and finds the nearest ally and takes off his blazer. “I can tell you’re hungry. Please take as much as you need.” He holds his arm out for her and looks her in the eyes. Ophelia followed Roxas and went into the alleyway, looking around nervously for people. She never fed in daylight. She was weakest during this time of day as it was, and she didn’t need people staring at her regardless of the lack of humans. She watches silently as Roxas took his blazer off, speaking to her “I can tell you’re hungry. Please take as much as you need.” She stared at him for a few long moments before pushing his arm to the side, closing the space between them. She rested her hands on either side of his face again, this time tilting his head to the side with the intention to feed. She leaned close and curled her lips up over her teeth, her fangs pressing sharply into the side of his neck, causing his blood to flow easily into her mouth. Roxas winces a little as Ophelia draws blood from his neck. Is arms start to move and wrap around her waist, closing the distance left between them. He starts to breathe heavily while his right hand moves up her back a little keeping her close so she can take as much blood as she need. After a while he starts to feel weary and leans back against the wall. Once against the wall, he moves his hand to the back of her head gently then drops it, limp. The moment that his blood rushed against her tongue her eyes widened. She could feel his hand pressing onto her back to keep her close, and her body is pressed to his. Suddenly she could hear his heartbeat slowing, though she had a hard time stopping herself. Her pupils dilated, and she felt grounded, him being the only thing she could focus on. Finally after many moments, just before his heart might stop from being drained of blood, she pulled back and wiped at her mouth slightly, the red liquid smearing across the back of her hand and staining her lips. Roxas looked at Ophelia and smiled gently before he had to sit down. “I hope that helped.” He said as he almost passed out. He gently looks up at her and tries to run his hand through her hair, but can’t seem to lift his arm up enough. Ophelia simply stares at him for a while, knowing what just happened will have a far bigger impact on them both eventually, but for now she would stay silent. Her strength felt renewed and her senses were going haywire. She reached out and pulls him up to stand, unsure at how long it’s been. “Let’s go,” she whispers, unaware of the blood on her lips. “Wait.” Roxas looks softly speaks to Ophelia. He takes her hand and pulls her close to him. He looks at her lips for a second and wipes them with his finger. “I know….” He trails off and closes his eyes. Ophelia looks up at him confused and then decides she has bigger things to worry about currently, one of them seeing Jax. She pulls away from him slightly, leading the way back to her house. Once they arrive she unlocks the door, making her way with Roxas close behind into their apartment.
