Double time, little exceptions. Out of the three closest to me, you are the furthest, but don't bring a horde of Covenant forces with you. Token 6-4-8, I want you to get here too. Kensington, it is vital that you also regroup with us, seeing as you are the closest. Approximately over 1 minute from my location, to be exact. I don't know your weaponry and armament, but I'd prefer it if you had some way to defend yourself. The Hospital Corps weren't always my most fluently known branch of the UNSC. As for any other listeners, I want you all to head to Outpost Charlie if you are close enough. Those who aren't are to regroup at Outpost Sierra. Do I ma-" The severed line caused a bout of worry to cross Rylei's features, which became increasingly apparent as she heard gunshots echo in the distance. "Chariot? Chariot 9-4-3? Come in?" A brief pause in her transmission was followed by more gunshots. "I'm heading over to check out some rogue gunshots. If that's you, I'll be coming in hot, over." She waited a moment more, however there was no response. Swiftly, she ran to the closest treeline in the direction of the gunfire and raised her rifle, passing by trees and bushes with her rifle at the ready. She didn't stop for a moment, scanning for hostiles and checking her corners while she moved. The gunfire grew louder for a little while, however it quickly came to a halt, to which Rylei slowed her advance. She didn't stop moving, however grew increasingly cautious, and slowed further still the closer she came to Chariot's pinged location. Before long, she was just outside the clearing, and circled around till she could see what was going on. Her movements were slow and silent, careful to not trip up on any branches nor step on any twigs. Of course this took a little while, however soon she caught sight of what she found both pleasing and a little disturbing: An Elite's freshly dead corpse. Whatever an Elite was doing in these parts she didn't know, and she found the idea of a rogue, wandering Elite quite terrifying. She checked her own back just to be sure there wasn't anything following her. Silence. She couldn't make out anything, but now that she'd seen the Elite, it made her worry. Could there have been an Elite dispatched to her own pod just a couple of minutes ago? Could it be capable of tracking her, considering she didn't quite conceal her way over? She hated the idea of getting anyone killed over her own blunder. She chose to wait a short while longer, letting the voices of Chariot 9-4-3 and another soldier fill the area. After awhile, her legs began hurting again, and so she rose to her feet and announced her presence. "Friendlies coming from the treeline." She announced in a serious yet not awfully convincing voice. However she stepped out into the open area, one arm raised, her rifle pointed towards the ground. Two people: Chariot and another, who Rylei assumed was 'Kensington'. The dead Elite on the floor lay between the trio. The nasty gash across Chariot's chest told her roughly how the engagement happened. "It's good to see friendly faces, I was starting to get worried I would be completely alone. Chariot and Kensington, I assume? I'm Private First Class Rylei Xandre, designated marksman and training sniper for Token Squad." She decided to make her introduction informative and brief, so they wouldn't get bogged down after the attack. She still felt unnerved of the fact an Elite engaged her new comrades. And it made her wonder: Were there more out there?
