Name/Nickname/Titles: Brauer Herstelle: The Black Star Gender: Male Age: 43 Personality: A man who holds desire and enjoys to see ambition in others around him. “It would not do well to prove one’s self superior over others who simply lie down and roll over on demand.” Believing in his own ability with a self-confidence that can be said to be arrogance, it is nevertheless a confidence he carries as a necessity. To not be proud of himself is an insult to those who came before him, for he is not simply a man but a process. The arrogance to connect himself with Saturn in his title stems partially from his personality, but also as a symbolistic show that he considers himself the answer to the desire and end of a master race, of the bringing of beings who are on the same authority as the worshipped lord of rings and King of Kings. Pride is a rather important part on him, and even if he may in a contradictory manner act in a way that seems quite unprideful or cowardly to attain his goals, he is the sort who believes that there is a sense of pride and bearing in being willing to stain one’s self to reach one’s end goals if the goal is worthy enough. An idea that he holds due to looking upon it as a matter similar to Alchemy.

Biography:Brauer, the alchemist that is the Herstelle family’s fifth generation heir, and representative. A man who left his family’s lands and personal workshop and embarked upon the stage of the world and nation. Joining the Thule Society after its establishment when he was a young man studying within the Sea of Estray. In an unexpected deviation from the norm, he strayed from the Mage Association and found himself delving further into the influence of the group that intertwined with the rising new regime of Germany. Confident in his abilities, proud of his legacy and desiring to prove himself a substantial contribution to the Herstelle lineage, he saw the rising organization, and the spread of Nazi Ideology as a potential avenue of support that could advance his ambitions further than he could ever with the resources that are limited to the scale of a family. By presenting his work as useful for their ideologies, and the answer to their goals he dreamed and foresaw the level of a scale of a nation’s resources at his disposal. Yet despite making plans to use the ideologies of those who preached of purity and greatness as mere stepping blocks the charisma and fervor of those around him began to consume him. Seductive, the men around him cast a powerful flame of earnest desire, born of dreams and the lust for greatness and power. Some believed in the ideologies to the earnest, some simply saw the potential like Brauer in how it could be leveraged for their own gain or used as a simple moral justification that swept away guilt and accountability for their actions. Despite staying to the course of his ultimate goal, Brauer found himself changing the direction of his research and the focus of his magecraft, using the already conducted advancements of his family and the notes that he was able to attain thanks to the aid of the Thule Society, to work on attaining something that could get them to some form of actualization of the desires of the Nazis. Yes, even if he might not truly believe to the core, even if he might be using them for his own gain. In a way he does not wish for the betrayal of such passion and adamant belief by what could be a fruitless, cold future of nothing. Although such a thing may also stem from the idea that he believes he can be their salvation, the engineered savior that they would look up to as well… A person who means no bad, but perhaps it would simply feel much nicer if he was a simpler person who purely just wished to utilize others? Ah, what a pain! Family History: Unlike many magi who migrated towards the influence of the Clock Tower they are a family that continues to associate with the Sea of Estray instead. A family of alchemists who decided not to create things that can be pure in their stead, or things that are strong because they are weak. They looked upon humanity itself as the work that they should attempt to refine and recreate. A theory is held by the Herstelle that humanity has diversified too much from its origin to reach the root of all. However modern humanity cannot be anything but modern humanity, and so the decision to pursue the refinement of modern humanity to remove its impurities and remake it while still keeping it as something that is “modern humanity” was made. Origin: Repurposement Elemental Affinity:Earth Number of Magic Circuits:C Quality of Magic Circuits: A Od: How much magical energy you can store in your body. A. Magecraft: Herstelle Alchemy Alchemy based not on the concept of chasing after the Magnum Opus, in other words, the Philosopher’s Stone. The Herstelle is instead based on the modification and creation of life. The creation of homunculi falls within their purview but rather than focus on a line of focus that they are grossly outdone in by the likes of the Einzberns they instead focus on applying the refinement processes of Alchemical Creation on existing lifeform, rendering living lifeforms, and life force as materia, and heat. While originally simply pursuing the steps of the Magnum Opus to utilize it on lifeforms and create a superior state of being for one’s self to try and pursue the route, similar to the idea of recreating the original human body like a future puppetmaster will. The possibility of a shortcut through the idea of a positive regression, to remove the impurities that are born and propagated of the mixing of blood and the decline of the world through focus on the first step, Nigrido, seemed to hold potential to the Thule Society. Gaining the support and some leftover heretical knowledge from the former member of the Sea of Estray, Fabro Rowan, Brauer has mostly focused on the creation of a prima materia that could be shaped and purified. Rather than simply using lifeforms as material to create brand new lifeforms as the idea behind his creations, it could be said to be a remaking of the base lifeform. While it goes without saying, as the heir to the Herstelle magecraft he holds a magic crest that carries the research of his predecessors and his own research within it. Nigrido Lebensborn The creation of a conceptual bounded field. The Black Sun Wheel of the Thule Society and the oroborus of alchemy is the core of a Black Sun (Womb) borrowed from the legends of the Aztecs. A bounded field that represents eternal reoccurance, and the cycle of life and death. Things will die and be reborn, forever repeating and yet changed. A false ocean of primordial life. It does not give birth to life but instead rebirths life, decomposition, and putrefaction. Lifeforms placed within this womb are rendered into a prima materia and rebirthed. Equipment: Die Glocke Sonnenzersetzung The top secret nazi weapon of Die Glocke. Or rather, one that bears the name of it. Just as the Fuyuki Grail War is a Grail instead of the Grail, this is a Die Glocke. Rather than a scientific miracle device in this case it is in fact a mystic code A weapon that is meant to spread the effect of an imperfect nigrido. Rather than rendering things into a original materia it is instead a faulty and ruinous decomposition. Degradation and erosion of the body and lifeforce undergoes as a result of exposure. Blood would gel and separate, plants would turn into mud and grease. Beings would cease to be beings and simply become corpses and flesh. Truly a cruel weapon of war, created not for the advancement of knowledge, defense or even for the sense of creation. A thing made only to kill. Cameras, and other things for the creation of film. A Homunculus (Maid) Skills: Unsurprisingly good at baking. A good public speaker, and a fan of film. Despite the concept of camera and photo being anathema to the mysteries of the supernatural world and the ideas of magi, Brauer is nevertheless a person who enjoys being filmed, and has created many films to send in as an explanation of his status versus other means such as a simple telephone. Quite a wasteful and expensive hobby! Especially considering that one of the reasons he often has a homunculus accompanying him is to film him as one of its duties. It goes without saying that his own collection of movies is substantial as well. From the works of Georges Méliès, Luigi Maggi or Mack Sennett. Along with specific films such as the Birth of a Nation, The Cabinet of Doctor Carigari.

Name:Publius Horatius Cocles Title:One Eyed Man/Cocles. Bravery Made Flesh. Class:Saber Allegiance:Lawful Good Appearance: A one-eyed man beautiful in form as though sculpted from marble to look like an ideal warrior. His appearance is obviously not that of his proportions or appearance in life as he takes the form of the form of courage for Rome. Finally his head is that of a Lion. A singular all-encompassing eye that stare with a judging and evaluating gaze stands out among his face while his mane is kept well in order, large and contrasting with his hairless body. A crown evocative of the murals of Rome blends with his fur, strands wrapped around it as though muscles around a skeletal frame. The military symbol of protection as such seems as though it is born of Saber’s body himself. He is a beauty made and crafted, shaped by the virtue he exhibited and his legend, not born. His eyes hold a fire and his lip parts easily in great emotion. Holding a Gladius and a rounded brass shield it is quite easily deductible that he is of the Rome. For garb he prefers something less constricting, a well plumed helmet that declares his presence boldly, adjusted to fit his new head. A thin simple cloth through his body shows covering his chest with a harness from which he hangs anything he must keep on hand that cannot simply be materialized. Legend: An officer of the Roman Republic army in the late 6th century BC, a hero of the war against the Etruscians under Lars Porsena. It was at the battle for Pon Sublicius that he distinguished himself. Holding geat numerical superiority, the sheer presence of the Etruscian army cowed the Roman soldiers who did not even resist the Etruscian's preparations and setting of formations before them. After the Etruscians advanced, hoping to force a battle the already frightened Romans broke without even a single blade crossed. They ran for the bridge hoping to cross to save their own lives in a blind panic, not even thinking to oppose them. Finding such behavior to be deplorable, Horatius shamed two generals who turned to flee as well and enlisted them into holding the bridge to let the fleeing roman army pass. The three held off the great army until every soldier had crossed. The only one with courage in the entire army, even when the generals called upon him to retreat now that the army had crossed he refused, citing the fact that the Etruscians could simply cross and advance without delay into Roman Lands. He called upon them to tear down the bridge and prevent the enemy from crossing. Although alone he fought and fought until finally he heard a shout that the work to destroy the bridge was done. He lept into the river below and swam, escaping with his life, his strength not leaving his arms despite his injuries. Finally he was taken to Rome, greeted by singing and admiration by the entire city. He was celebrated and awarded, and so despite his injuries, despite him throwing himself to certain doom he came out with a happy ending, having saved Rome from a sacking and allowing the city to survive. In a way he could be called the savior of the empire that was still in it's cradle, the republic that would grow to become the great civilization.

Stats Strength: B Endurance: B Agility: C Magic: C Luck: A Class Skills: Magic Resistance: B Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Personal Skills: Symbol of Bravery: A+ A skill born of a combination of Innocent Monster and Bravery. Known as a paragon of Bravery, Horatius is one of the symbols of Roman Bravery and could even be said to be that which personifies it. Earning the status with valour in battle and sacrifice for the sake of Rome he held the bridge for the sake of the republic and the soldiers of his army. Horaitus fought in defense alone, fighting to allow other soldiers to escape then bidding those with him to tear down the bridge behind him for Rome's sake. Prevents effects from mental interference, and changes his appearance to that of a lion. A peerless paragon, a personification of the virtue. Servant Saber cannot be cowed or be ruled by fear or madness. STR and END are increased due to Lions being a symbol of power. Additionally the connotation of execution through means of being fed to lions being a part of common perception of Rome adds the property of “Damnatio ad Bestias” to Saber, causing him to deal additional damage to those of an evil alignment, and Christians as an executioner. This effect is weakened against saints to who are attributed tales of pacifying lions or subduing them when faced with such executions. To have to be reminded of courage and shown to stand up firmly by another is likely even greater a shame for those who are heroes, yet the role of Saber is he who represents and shows courage. Is it not natural for him to shine as the brightest star in that situation then? Protection of Genius: A Spirits that reside within and protect a river, mountain and other places of nature, spirits that protected households, nations, specific positions, or even individuals. In a sense a spirit is that which protects, even something as specific as one’s morality or ideals, as shown through Socrates’s demon that he cites as a voice that forbids him from certain actions in his Apology. Even certain individuals can form a Genius, and positions, as such the idea of a servant forming a Genius of sorts not unfound. As an existence is a protection, and given the role of being the guardian spirit of his master, Saber takes upon the role of a shield for his master. As this familiar who is meant to watch over and protect his master, through the means of Tutelary assumption of the position of his master’s servant, Saber is able to give his protection to his master, offering his body to protect his master from blows in a protection similar to the recreation of a certain warrior monk’s body. However this is not a Noble Phantasm, but rather an approximation given form by the status of a spirit that defends the master. It is a dual existence with Saber, causing him to suffer the damage and effects of anything he blocks. While a seemingly extremely powerful defense, it is one that is activated by the Master themselves, wielding Saber as though they were their weapon, and as such cannot protect the master against effects that they do not choose to defend against, or attacks that they are unaware of. Furthermore even as a Heroic Spirit who is famed for defense and a servant with high defensive capabilities this defense nevertheless causes damage, and could be fashioned into a weakness by forcing Saber into a fight while also protecting his master from harm by offering himself as a sacrificial shield, or by targeting the master with effects that would be dangerous or crippling to Saber. It is also worth noting that it also increases the energy consumption of Saber to manifest this protection. Essentially a skill that protects the master, but also leaves the master as a potential risk as a proxy for means to harm Saber. There is a requirement to establish such a connection, as despite being related this is not synonymous with the contract between Servant and Master. Due to the aspect of Cocles as a protector being brought out this skill has recieved a rank up. The defensive power of Cocles as an Aegis has increased. Battle Continuation: C Fighting on until the bridge was dismantled so the enemy could not advance. Horatius then managed to even swim away under the barrage of enemy missiles despite taking injuries that would maim and cripple him, escaping in a way that the enemy could not follow. While normally this would be at a skill that aids in the escape from battle and allows one to fight even with heavy wounds, the aspect and nature of Cocles as a protector has been emphasized. The bold figure who fought on the bridge and bared his flesh as the defense of Rome, offering his life and body as the price to pay willingly and fearlessly, the survival ability of this Cocles has been diminished. Noble Phantasms: Virgultum Ēnūtriēns Arma (Sapling’s Nurturing Shield) - Let my body raise you safe and well. Anti-Unit(Self)/Barrier: A+ rank. Targets: 1 Range: — If the great Roman Empire at its height was the Great Tree that is represented by the spear of the founder, Romulus, then the body of Coceles is a shield that protects and nurtures the infant sapling that was the Roman Republic that would become the Great Tree. If Rome is the world then protecting Rome is equal to protecting a world. Saber’s existence itself is the Scutum of Roma. It is because of Saber that Rome survived its infant state to become the empire it was destined to be. Akin to a hero who was a divine construct of the gods, this Noble Phantasm born of the sublimation of Saber’s status as the protector of Rome transforms him into a shield. When he fought he offered his very body as the protection of his nation, and so it is his body that takes the form of this Noble Phantasm, a psuedo-Divine Construct. Forming a great shield formed out of growing wood, it is a defense that can defend even a nation. However damage done to the shield is carried over to Servant Saber, and an attack that can “bring ruin” to a nation would leave him ruined in body and weakened. Such a shield would be shattered and even if Saber were to recover this Noble Phantasm would be destroyed and sealed. Is it not natural for him to shine as the brightest star in that situation then? Protection of Genius: - Cocles is one who bares his body as the shield of Roma. Cocles is one who survives the heroic last stand to the death. To bare one's body in survival for another is the opposite of survival. A servant is a master's sword and shield, but the nature of Cocles as a protector is deemphasizedto bring the man who survives despite the battles he charges into with his bravery. To be a hero need not be a condemnation of the self to death. Glory and salvation can be attained without the sacrifice of death. Heroism and survival can coexist. One should not condemn the one who survives for not playing their part, but instead for managing to attain the happy ending that does not exist at the end of his tale. Even if broken in body he still lived, and living in honor he did indeed attain a success beyond his peers. Battle Continuation: A+ Fighting on until the bridge was dismantled so the enemy could not advance. Horatius then managed to even swim away under the barrage of enemy missiles despite taking injuries that would maim and cripple him, escaping in a way that the enemy could not follow. This reduces the hampering effect of heavy and medium injuries, as though they were medium and light injuries, and makes light injuries a non-factor in effecting the combat capabilities of the servant. Even in a extremely wounded state Saber can continue to fight, although with reduced performance. Furthermore a decisive fatal blow is required for death to encroach upon the servant. Death can be staved away and ignored for a short time should fatal damage be sustained, although for a shorter time than a A rank Battle Continuation holder. The ability to retreat from battle even when injured is also increased. The + additional bonus is occurred for the sake of retreating via the method of water, allowing one to travel through bodies of water without penalty. Rather than a property that is part of Saber’s own capabilities this is more representative of the assumed mercy of Tiberinius, the Genius of the Tiber River who has a history of spiriting away and helping those in need at his River. As such one could say it is akin to a minor blessing from an elemental. Due to the circumstance of Saber's summoning this skill has been raised, emphasizing the nature of Cocles as an unlikely survivor who escaped the death that awaited the end of all such legends of his kind. The one who lives, the one who escapes death. The ability and drive of Cocles to survive has been brought out to its greatest.
