Personality: Bates is a stoic and somewhat emotionally repressed. While he is very quiet, he is a man who speaks very little and hates repeating himself, Bates sees himself as a man of action and lets his actions, how heavy handed they might be, speak more for him instead of trying to rationalize his actions by telling them to people. As surprising as it may be, Bates does his best to try and not harm or kill innocent people, but if they are standing in his way or trying to stop him, he'll be willing to knock them out or beat them up with his fist. 

Sticking somewhat to his old ways, when he's attacking, he's very aggressive and fast utilizing any type of weapons around him or anything that could be used as a weapon, but he only does so when he doesn't have his knife, also sticking to his old habits he chain smokes cigarettes like a chimney. With his knife Bates is very proficient at close range, while being almost above average at firing guns, while you may think that since his shooting is somewhat average due to his average shooting, when it comes to throwing his knife at people, he's very accurate. 

Like the city police Bates has a strong sense of justice, but unlike the police he kills criminals instead of capturing them or leaving them for the police, he also doesn't bother with smaller criminals unless he feels they could be useful to him.  

Bio: Bates use to be a member of the Belwyn police department's anti Gang task force, where here racked up a reputation of being aggressive towards criminals and a number of active kills that would make most others in the task force either very jealous or really guilty for their actions. While he racked up his reputation and made things harder for many of the gangs, the higher ups looked for small things to fire him for or punish him for, but for two long years they didn't find much besides warranted police brutality. 

Then their day came, during a drug bust involving Humans, Elves, and Orcs, a number of Steel Lance and humans were killed by both the police and Orcs, shockingly enough the bust turned into a police chase with Bates chasing down an Orc that organized the deal. The chase went from car, to being on foot, and when it came to an end, it with a hostage situation. Taking a pair of children hostage, the Orc threatened to kill both of them if Bates didn't let him go, and shockingly enough Bates tried to agree with the deal in order to let the two kids live, but out of some paranoia the Orc didn't honor the deal and only one child made it out of the situation alive. 

On top of the situation, the higher ups decided to use the situation to fire him from the force. Walking away from the station, only blocks away from the station did he see himself in a situation where he had to defend himself from a group of elves and took all of his anger out on three of them killing them before going home. The day after being fired, he didn't stop doing what he saw as his job, no matter how bloody the fight gets with him and the gangs of Belwyn.

App: Standing at an average height and with a broad but stocky build. Bates intimidates people with his rough and scarred face and his untamed and unkempt black hair and his beard stubble, on the left side of his face are three claw scars that could've come from any creature from Belwyn, along the rest of his body he has a number of scars from different creatures that all hold different stories themselves. While his form is somewhat on the broad side, he's got more of an average look to himself. Bates wears a dark blue fleece zip up jacket along with a pair of dark pants and some simple running shoes. 

Other: He smokes a brand of cigarettes called Death wish.
