Despite thinking that stretching out WWI to 1929 is a bit silly for various reasons, I do have some interest. Unsure of who would be interesting to play in this scenario, though.
I was thinking the best way to do it is have the war peter out in 1920 due to political tension and revolution within the combatant nations. So the World War phase of it peters out and is replaced with the crisises that were already breaking out in IRL 1918. In this version, the "Great War" as a concept is extended into complicated interrelated domestic conflicts that could last a decade. The main purpose of Great War on steroids is to destabilize Europe enough that it becomes sensible for us to do our own thing, and I think this scenario accomplishes this goal and makes sense.
Vilage brought that up privately with me and suggested that 1920 would be better, I sort of ran with the original "le war lasted eleven years longer
The war in the original lasted 11 years, not 11 years longer. 1925 was the end date in the original, and back then we were figured it was too long.
