Things were getting out of hand. Considering how many copies of herself she'd made recently, that was quite a statement. Shion's copy watched from a nearby alley as her original's would-be home base was overrun by... were those unicorns? She dashed behind a nearby dumpster as she pulled out a phone and typed up a message. \\\There appear to be unicorns at the train station< They knocked over a train car< Apparent magical entity on site< Hiding and keeping visual< Proceed?< Several seconds later another message appeared in the chat, made by the same account. \\\Yes. Update at two minute intervals. Failure to update within five intervals will leave you considered KIA. Luck. Shion's copy smiled faintly at her own sense of priorities. Sure, she was a disposable tool, but it felt nice to have definite proof that she trusted herself, a feeling that she hoped she'd get to transfer back tonight. She poked her head back out to watch the scene unfold.
Shion sat on the edge of the tallest building she had found so far, slowly drawing a map with the information her duplicates sent her. She hoped that she'd get to learn what they did in person but it always payed to be careful. The recent message about the train station bothered her, the tracks and constant traffic made it an ideal place for her to hide out at, but now monsters were ruining it. She was tempted to go there personally to get revenge but thought better of it. Instead, she sent a message to another nearby duplicate telling her to go investigate in case the one already there got hurt. She placed the map she was working on back into her pocket and laid back on the roof to wait for updates.
Another copy of hers was about to head back to her meeting place when she noticed an almost overpowering aura. Deciding to investigate, she started off in what she assumed was the direction of its origin. It took quite a few minutes of jogging and trial-and-error before she found where it seemed to be coming from. As soon as the two figures in the field became visible she stopped moving and dropped to the ground, trying to hide herself from them. She couldn't hear anything this far away, but that was less important than getting visual information at the moment. She zoomed in as far as she could with her phone and took a picture of them to send to her original self. She quickly read the posts she missed while searching before typing one of her own. \\\Second magical entity on site< The two appear to be allies< \\\Picture attached$ Have visual on train station$ No visual on other us$ Currently hidden on an eastern rooftop$ Will continue hiding and keeping visual$ Proceed?$ It didn't seem that she'd missed any directed at her.
Shion sat up as she looked at the pictures she'd just been sent. The train station was definitely out of the question as a base now. Even if the local magical girls were able to completely cover up the attack, it would almost certainly be either under surveillance or in repair for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, the two figures just outside of town were a source of interest, but her last three duplicates weren't close enough to send there.
