[indent][indent]Samson has the aura of an adventurer, and the body of someone who goes out on those adventures. His body is very well-toned from years of working out, and a very physical job here in Farmer Hill. Though, he has the appearance of a tough guy, a powerful force, and that wouldn't be too far off from the mark. However, he's so cheerful that it's hard to really take him as a threat. He gives of an aura of kindness, and companionship, above all else. He walks confidently, usually with his hands in his pockets, or something else.

Samson's body is very large, and powerful. He stands at six-two, but doesn't have that big of a frame. His frame is somewhat thin, no bulging muscles for Samson! Though, he has been lifting weights, and working out, in the meantime. His facial features are fairly bulky, and squared. Starting with his diamond-shaped face, he has a very squared jaw, with thin cheeks. Cheeks that are bushy with a light, well-cut, beard. He has thick, large, lips, with a medium sized and unpronounced nose. Samson's ears are medium-sized, and diamond shaped, studded with ear piercings. His eyes are medium-sized, and have a sharp look about them. 

The one thing that makes Samson stand out in Farmer Hill is, you guessed it, his heritage. He's an African-American man, one with very dark skin, and an African-skullshape. His skin is fairly free from blemishes, but definitely not scar free. He has plenty of scars from injuries he received as a child, and many more from the fights he got into. He has a fleshy cutting scar right underneath his eye. That out of the way, he has an intricate pattern of tattoos. The first tattoo that he has is on his right cheek. It appears to be an eagle with it's wings spread, covered in flames that are angled downwards. Like the phoenix is taking flight. The other tattoo he has is on the left side of his chest. This tattoo is of the sun and is very tribal-like. The "flames" of the sun extends far enough to reach his shoulder, belly and the top of his neck. His arms are covered in a tribal-style wreath of flames, starting below his shoulder, going up to his hands.

As for style, Samson goes for sharp. He always has on a jacket of some kind, and jeans, that are always very well covering. Since Farmer Hill is very cold, he's always prepared for it. He always like to keep his tattoos covered as much as possible.[/indent][/indent]

[color=firebrick][b]MAIN GOAL  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson's main goal is to live his life. He doesn't have a goal in mind, other than keeping to himself, and getting enough money to earn his place. A lot of thought goes in his head about figuring out how to deal with the emotions in his head, and letting go. But, he has yet to figure out a way to do it. Only pretend. He's given the idea of leaving behind Farmer Hill, and the bastards in it, forever.

[color=firebrick][b]PHILOSOPHY  ⫻[/b][/color] To Samson everything in life is about putting in work. He believes in hard work, and reward. It doesn't matter what you're doing, long as you're passionate about it, you'll see it through to the end.

[color=firebrick][b]SECRETS  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson wants to keep the fact that he's vulnerable, and bitter, to himself, as much as possible. He wants everyone to think he's a strong man, not one wracked with sadness, a man that has a future.

[color=firebrick][b]DESIRES  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson wants someone to help him, someone who can understand what he feels. Because he desperately wants to get over what happened all those years ago, and is willing to do anything possible to achieve it.

[color=firebrick][b]SEXUALITY  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson is straight, but is currently uninterested in romance.

[color=firebrick][b]FEARS  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson somewhat fears himself. He fears what will happen to him if he doesn't resolve these emotions of his, will he finally go insane? Or will it inhibit his ability to form meaningful relationships with people. That his obsession will consume him.

[color=firebrick][b]REPUTATION  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson's reputation is relatively poor in his community of Farmer Hill. Sins of the father is in full effect as an age long feud between his family, and another, reigns, and makes it difficult for him to move. In addition, people don't really think too highly of Samson because he is African-American. Samson's reputation in Grand Ridge is much better due to his cool-guy attitude, and other qualities.

[color=firebrick][b]PET PEEVES  ⫻[/b][/color] This is a small one... but Samson absolutely hates it whenever someone gets something wrong about martial arts. Whether it's a person, or a movie, he'll cringe, and have to withstand it with a smile.

[color=firebrick][b]QUIRKS  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson has a habit of leaning on things, and sometimes putting his leg up against objects in weird ways.

[h3][u][color=firebrick][b]   BACKSTORY      [/b][/color][/u][/h3]

[indent][indent]Samson was born a native of Farmer Hill, and one of the few black families. Which was difficult due to the racism that runs amok in the township. Samson was born to a pair of farmers in Mason Square, apart of a long line of farmers. They wanted to give Samson the best life, but they also wanted to raise him strong. Long as he could walk, he was out there in the fields helping with the animals. This built Samson into a strong child, but the problem came when school started, and the other children relentlessly bullied him because he was black. They got physical very quick, and Samson didn't know how to fight back.

But, his father did. An old friend in town, a martial arts instructor named Shane Wyatt. The only one in Farmer Hill, the one that was training kids to fight for generations. Samson was sent there, and taught karate, and while it was tough (actually embarrassing) at first, he picked up the basics, and moved onto the advanced stuff. Going from rank to rank, spar to spar, he gained discipline like no other, and humility from Mr. Wyatt. It came to the point where he was no longer motivated by revenge against his bullies, but now, self defense.

When he confronted them, he only gave one stern warning, before defending himself. The ensuing fight was brutal, but with Samson's discipline, he beat the whole lot of them. He was punished at school, but finally fighting back against those animals was worth it. However, this wasn't the end of it, as the families of the other kids wanted justice against Samson. 

A few days later, one of the bullies families came to the Jeross family household, screaming and shouting obscenities for what Samson did. The parents of Samson tried to talk them down, but it escalated to violence very quickly. A huge brawl took place on the Jeross family's doorstep that got bloody fast when the other family pulled out a gun. It ended when more people came to the Jeross household, and overwhelmed them. They were brutally beaten, especially Samson's father. When the police came, they broke it up, but not one arrest was made. Future complaints were ignored.

Samson was outraged, but his father calmed him down, explaining to him that some things they'll just have to let go. From then on, Samson was targeted because of his race by his similarly aged peers. He was ostracized by the people of Farmer Hill, but he managed to find people with different views than the majority. Those people became some of Samson's closest friends. In addition, he stuck with his karate training until he became a black belt, and one of Farmer Hill's most passionate people. 

Once Samson passed hurdle after hurdle, and graduated highschool, and his parents revealed they were saving for him to go to Grand Ridge Academy. He was honored, but he still had a bit of anger to deal with. He went into college for Criminal Justice, and was struggling as of late.[/indent][/indent]

[color=firebrick][b]Karate  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson's the karate kid! Due to the need to defend himself becoming increasingly apparent, Samson took up karate at the only practitioners in Farmer Hill. He has been taking it for almost a decade now, and has long earned his black belt. Most importantly he knows how to put that karate to good use, and has been in quite a few brawls. That experience hardened him, and taught him a lot of things. His body is very fast, and so are his reflexes.

[color=firebrick][b]ABSTRACTION  ⫻[/b][/color] Emotional-Flames, the ability to conjure a flame that either burns away emotions, thoughts, and memories, or in times of emotion, actually burns.

[color=firebrick][b]ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson's Awakening allows him to generate and manipulate flame, but this is no regular flame, this flame is born by Samson's emotions themselves. His rage, his passion, his hope... the flames have two main attributes that depend on Samson's mood. 

Normally, Samson's flames are a white color, and appear and flow like any other flame, but it burns nothing. It generates no heat, burns no oxygen, and otherwise functions nothing like fire. However, the flames operate on a psychic level, instead of burning objects, they burn the [i]mind[/i]. The fire, simply put, eats away the emotions, memories, and thoughts of people around him on contact. Upon being hit with the flames, emotions will be numbed, it'll be harder to think straight (almost like someone is being overwhelmed), and they'll experience short term memory-loss (they'll maybe forget where they are, and what they're doing if they're exposed to enough of the flame). The Awakened are much more resistant to the effects, but regular people will get no such luxury. After contact with people, the fire will dissipate after a few moments, as it couldn't burn up enough resources to exist. Enough of the fire will leave people emotionless, but it isn't powerful enough to eliminate all thoughts and memories. The flames generate a white light, but normal people are unable to see the flames in this state, or the light it gives off. It'll be completely invisible.

In a state of heightened emotion, the flames begin to take on a more pure appearance. Less like fire, and more like plasma (or an energy of the sort). Depending on the emotion that Samson is feeling, will affect the color (fear turns it yellow, happiness; green, etc). The flames will lose their ability to burn minds, and will be able to burn people like traditional fire, and will generate heat. Depending on how emotional Samson is, will change how hot the flames burn people. Samson is also able to draw upon the emotions of other people, which can strengthen the flames. The flames burn whatever they touch, but Samson can choose what they can and cannot burn. So if he wants to engulf two people in flames, but keep one people safe, he can do it. However, feeling rage makes the flames the hottest they can be, and burn everything in sight. Even materials seemingly fireproof burn away in the end. The flames seem to attain a slight level of sentience, and will actively burn whatever it can. When in this state, the flames can be seen by all.

Upon calming down, the flames will return to their normal state, and all the flames he created while emotional will disappear.

[color=firebrick][b]IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN  ⫻[/b][/color] While in the embrace of the mountain, Samson gains the ability to choose what flame he wants to use, can create far more fire, and make it far more potent. However, the flames in their normal state gain the ability to alter emotions of whatever gets hit by the flames. They will change people to feel the same emotion as Samson, rather than burning them away. In addition, he can choose if he wants to specifically burn emotions, memories, or thoughts (or none at all). While emotional, Samson's flames induce a state of fear, as they become so powerful that people can't help but be intimidated by it. It causes a state of flight-or-fight just by being near them.

[color=firebrick][b]AURA SENSING  ⫻[/b][/color] Samson's aura reading ability is quite different from the others. For starters, he gains the ability to read auras of [i]everything[/i] long as they are within four meters of himself. He can sense the rage that is within all creatures, and greater the rage, the brighter their aura glows. To the point where Samson can sense them further than four meters (up to forty-two meters).

[indent][indent]Samson is basically the remaking of one of the first characters I've made when I started RPing.... with some updates of course. He has a similar personality, appearance, and power, but changed for the setting.[/indent][/indent]
