His height stands at around 5'11", being an average for most of the male helljumpers that serve the UNSC. His hair is usually left unattended too, despite the somewhat decent look to it, due to his remarks on wearing a helmet nullifying all attempts to present himself fashionably. His body shape is quite well-built, but not too much to brag about in comparison to the other, more brute-force ODSTs, such as those who specialise in demolitions or engineering. Looking back upon his face, his eyes glimmer an emerald-shade with his hair being the tone of a dirty jet-black. A not-so-thin stubble sits around his chin and mouth for the same reasons as his choice of hairstyle, knowing presentation isn't exactly key on a battlefield. Overly, he fits the standard description for any soldier, without having any special features that could easily make him noticeable amongst some of the more famous ODST personnel.

Damien's armour tends towards his specialisation, using a mobile electro-magnetic scanner as his helmet attachment. Though it can easily be mistaken for a sniper's visor, it's a lesser common variant that leans towards the detection and identification foreign and man-made powered machinery, including gadgets usually left around by either insurrectionists or the Covenant Empire. Moving away from just his helmet, the shoulder-pauldrons are more towards the standard issue, some of the mid-waist and arms are slightly more balanced between flexibility and armour, in-between the lighter marksmen and the heavier demolitions specialists. Across his lower chest, a series of hard-case pouches can be found, where utilities such as surveying equipment and other anti-technical tools are located. The coloured stripe/secondary colour on Turner's armour is a light shade of blue; in a specific manner, it is a blend of baby-blue and aqua.
>First Sergeant Arnold Griggs
>Fireteam 2IC- General Purpose Specialist - Relations between Turner and Griggs were solid, a good cooperation between them kept them alive in previous missions after their introduction. Turner held him to a high-regard and considered him the best subordinate he had access to. - K.I.A.
>Gunnery Sergeant Lucinda 'Knock' Graham
>2IC - Heavy Weapons Specialist - Whilst Graham and Turner got off on the wrong foot in their first mission and first impressions, they eventually grew to tolerate one another. This eventually led to a decent friendship that kept them both alive for long enough to respect one another's ranks and their positions in the military. - K.I.A.
>Corporal Jacob 'Baby' Nickelson
>Fireteam NCO - General Purpose Specialist - Nickelson and Turner never got on and it was always going to be apparent. Sometimes, Nickelson's spite for Turner as a person has interfered with their performance, being put down on UNSC records for his trouble-making behaviour. His nickname referred to how Turner viewed his sporadic and violent behaviour. - K.I.A.
>Lance Corporal Helen Farnsworn
>Fireteam JNCO - General Purpose Specialist - The best relation towards Turner, Farnsworn acted as Turner's greatest ally in all situations. The two were a military match, equalising their knowledge and teamwork towards improving each other's performance on the field. This proved very effective. - M.I.A.
>Private First Class Hiro 'Firework' Natamoto
>Fireteam Unit - Demolitions Specialist - The connection between Turner and Natamoto was always quite well-off. The two had been quite close off duty, and so they remained on duty. The closest thing to a brother that Natamoto has, Turner is seen as a viable asset to his commitment to Fireteam Chariot. - M.I.A.
>Private William 'Crack' Osuma
>Fireteam Unit - Sniper/Marksmen Specialist - Osuma was more of a silent type, being the newest assigned member to the team by the time Operation: Grey Axe showed up. However, both Turner and Osuma had managed to share a few missions with one another, increasing the respect they had towards each other. - K.I.A.
>Private Yusuf Lincoln
>Fireteam Unit - Close-Quarters Specialist - Lincoln was never a loud solider, nor ODST, and so he mostly held no connection to virtually every member of Chariot, except with Osuma. Turner suspects he has ties to ONI. - M.I.A.
>Private Pauline Austran
>Fireteam Unit - General Purpose Specialist - Austran and Turner were quite good friends when they first met, even sharing a few meals with one another off-duty in order to get to know one another better. All part of Austran's plan was to know her team first, then know her enemy; she became a very close friend to Turner in the short time she remained in the group without the arrival of Operation: Grey Axe. - M.I.A.
Specialisation Technical Devices Specialist
Personality Whilst talented on the field, the mindset of Damien isn't as most would expect. Sometimes he faces a slight anxiety about missions not going fully according to plan, especially as a commissioned officer, as it can result in serious harm for his team-mates or other allied personnel within the area. That is a mindset that sometimes sticks deep within him, like a dagger from behind. Anxiety aside, Damien likes to think of himself as a well-rounded ODST unit; there are no doubts that he isn't the most perfect out of his Fireteam, but that seems to be something he can accept. He cherishes his appearance amongst Chariot, a fireteam renowned for its high-operation count, as well as large amount of units per Fireteam. His confidence on the greater behalf is regularly quite high as with most ODST personnel. His attachment to UNSC Marines and other ODST personnel makes him quite the decent ally, but the friendships he makes can be easily broken by a few plasma shots. Damien Turner can be quite the talkative person when downtime is ever available and definitely has a lot of stories about his past life, both military and civilian wise, that can reflect on many morals or wondrous achievements he's picked up along the way. These interesting tales have taught him to value his team, which he has easily picked up and settled inside his mind. The sense of community, knowing that whoever's back you cover they cover yours in return without a minute to think, is one of the most important feelings to him. When it comes to having to long-wolf it, that can be his issue. Whilst his marksmen skills aren't too bad, having multiple fire-modes on his BR55 Service Rifle, his combat skills are honed to suit his fighting style and to attempt dealing with any close-by hostiles. Unfortunately his sense of community has led to him becoming far too attached with soldiers, who when placed in dangerous situations has caused him to think irrationally for their benefit. Biography Damien was born on the planet of Tribute, not too far out from the larger cities, where he lived a close relationship with his father, a current Naval Officer at the time of his young age. As a father, Henry took good care of Damien, eventually allowing him and his wife to leave the planet and stay in localised systems so that they could never be too far away from him, no matter what mission he was on. Eventually, after a few years of travelling, Damien began to be based at the station known as 'Reading Station', a UNSC outpost located within an asteroid field that specialised in troop garrisoning and hospitality for passing medical vessels. Here, Damien underwent further education, under the watchful eye of his mother Jennifer and personal officer (assigned by Henry, of course) Kilo Roisla. He learnt an early rendition of tactics and UNSC ship identification, as well as sharpening his awareness of regular UNSC activity throughout the galaxy. This developed his early interest for the Military on a grand scale in comparison to simply having a Naval Officer as a father. However, this ideal plan proved to be immensely flawed, as a small, seemingly alone Corvette from the Covenant Empire began to lay waste to the UNSC Station Damien was currently living within. The scanners weren't updated enough to catch the Corvette floating into UNSC space, and no one was able to trace where it came from. The possible ideas of a fleet sitting on their doorstep had terrified the personnel aboard the station very quickly. Caught off guard, this UNSC garrison failed to block the entrances in time to stop the infantry from securing their landing post. Large groups of Sangheili, Yanme'e and Unggoy quickly took control of the main hanger, cutting off the escaping routes for fleeing UNSC and civilian targets. This began the Reading-Station incident. The strike had left the UNSC entrance vulnerable, which began a 2-day siege upon the Station. With the escape routes seemingly cut off, the civilians that hadn't been killed in the first bombardment, Damien included, were escorted by large groups of UNSC Defensive Army units. These soldiers were to be the key stronghold for the integrity of this battle, as most communications were being jammed by the Corvette's inner technological systems. Doors were barricaded off, and many soldiers offered to hold key corridors until it killed them, which would be one of the main sacrifices to win the battle overall. Damien witnessed firsthand a taste of what combat was really like against the new-enemy to the decade, the Covenant Empire. Fourteen soldiers were tasked with protecting Damien and his Mother across a short hallway, but a fifteen minute skirmish left seven of them dead. Many of the doors were sealed tightly to prevent the Covenant landing parties from getting too close. By sneaking into the hanger and reopening its blast-doors, a large group of volunteers, mostly soldiers and a few civilians, quickly rushed out to attempt a landing on the Corvette. Whilst they were not heard of for a long time, eventually the communications jam went offline, allowing the call for reinforcements to be made. Eventually, the Corvette must have called a retreat order, making the remaining Covenant forces depart and leave the nearly eradicated base as they'd left it. Whilst the jamming systems were knocked out, saving the station all-together, Damien learnt from his younger age about the sacrifice of the soldiers who went in, apparently all dying to complete their objective. This inspired Damien, eventually beginning his path towards the UNSC. The issues on Tribute were spicing up between the Insurrectionists, Covenant Scouting parties and the UNSC, but at that point Damien had been transferred to elsewhere to begin his training as a UNSC Marine within a Officer Training Academy. Graduating as a 2nd Lieutenant and enlisting into the 84th Technical Corps, a specialised unit designed to scan, retrieve and investigate the technology and devices of the Covenant through harsh extraction missions, Damien had made a few lucky escapes from failed missions. On top of this, he also had developed a sense of hopelessness in some cases, watching newly made friends go down like a sack-of-potatoes in some combat experiences. The several field-operations that involved both the UNSC Marines and UNSC Air Force to tackle objectives together made it very easy for Damien to become more open about his choices as a soldier. Eventually, after Operation: Rising Noon, the standard UNSC Marine got to see his first taste of the ODST specialists. After a retrieval operation went sky-high in how much went beyond the initial plan, the intensity of the firefight began to pick the friends of Damien off, one by one. Eventually, the call for reinforcements came in, and within 2 minutes HEV pods entered the atmosphere and crashed nearby, launching out a new-branch (at least to Damien) of unique soldiers who were equipped to face the worst. They were nicknamed the spartans-who-were-not, at least to the 84th. The name didn't really roll off the tongue so easily. After the Operation was eventually deemed a failure, the instant jump into hell that the ODST did once again increased the respect Damien Turner had for them. This respect eventually turned into aspiration, as he signed up for the voluntary unit that excelled in the Orbital Drop sequence. Eventually, he entered the initial four-step training, which would eventually have him pass. Along the way of his training, he was introduced to Helen Farnsworn, someone who would become his greatest friend in his life of an ODST. The two shared a tremendous amount of time mingling about with other operators, eventually gaining access into the real-scenarios that could train them to work under dangerous circumstances. The training paid off once it was all over, as the two finally exceeded into the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Once he had gained his ranks, this time taking a promotion to First Lieutenant, Turner once again returned to his comfort zone of AI and Technical analysis, applying the knowledge to the field and acting as an intelligence soldier and disposal unit when in the field. As listed on his service record, Damien was entered in a series of operations within two teams of ODSTs. At first he was part of a squad simply titled 'Romeo 8', which was later disbanded due to many casualties in the field. Just before its collapse, he was promoted to a Captain in the place of his previous CO's death, which would transfer over to his next assignment. The formation of Fireteam Chariot, the soon-to-be-many named fireteams specifically created in mind of the mission to Oman, occurred. Many of these fireteams, mostly based between the UNSC Army, Marines and ODSTs, were handpicked from their posts on Reach (and other military strongholds) at the time based upon records and psychological analysis as they prepared to embark on a perilous journey to a planet many expected to return home from...

>Major UNSC Marine Operations
>Operation: Black Ice >Objective-based insertion into a Covenant mining facility in order to extract weapons for analysis. - Success with minimal casualties. >Operation: Nimrod >Objective-based drop into a heated battle in order to reach a jamming system for both analysis and deconstruction. - Partial success.
