"If you have nothing else to do today, you can come with me and watch, if you like," she says softly, looking over her shoulder up at Roxas. She looked at the paper again where her name was written and then squared her shoulders slightly before beginning to make her way to the weaponry. She had forgotten her bow and quiver at home, and didn't have time to run back and grab it. She also hadn't showered or changed out of her clothes from the night before, but she figured that it was fine since she'd be fighting anyway. She chose Suriel for a specific reason, though slightly ironic, and she smiled at the thought. She felt nervous but also kind of excited as she pushed the doors open to the weaponry. It was still early, and there were no other SPA members inside the room, only one of the guild masters. She looked up at Ophelia with an arched brow, and Ophelia approached her. "I'd like to borrow a couple silver daggers, if you have them," she said softly, smiling. The woman simply nodded and went to find them for Ophelia, handing them over to her. "Just sign them out and return them when you're finished. And good luck," she said, knowingly. Ophelia nodded and signed the daggers out, taking two sheaths which would strap to either thigh as well. "Thank you." Once the daggers were sheathed and in place, Ophelia began to make her way to the arena, Roxas following her. Were she alive, her heart would be pounding out of her chest by now, but all she could do was tremble slightly. She was scared by this point. She was not a fighter in the least, especially compared to Jax. Ophelia knew how to fight, but she focused her skills on specific things rather than just training all the time in a general way. She reached into the pocket of her cloak, the bag of Solars from Roxas still there, and reached to find a hair tie. She gathered her hair up into a high bun and then took her cloak off, handing it over to Roxas. He wouldn't be allowed in the arena, but he could watch her from the stands. She leaned towards him and kissed him very lightly on the lips, smiling a little to try and hide the fear in her eyes. Ophelia knew she was too timid to probably win, but she would try her best. She wanted to be able to protect Jax, and that was one of the only reasons she was trying to up her rank. If she won, they could go on missions together, and she would be able to keep an eye on her sister and others in the same rank as her. She knew sometimes that her motherly instincts could get her killed, but she didn't care. As she entered the arena, she could hear her name being called over the loud speaker and her eyes hit the ground. She wasn't well known here, always keeping to herself. She knew if she won though, that would change. Finally as Suriel entered the arena and called his name "Suriel, angel of love", her eyes moved from the ground to his face and her mind instantly began to think about his possible weaknesses. He was handsome as anything, and his wings were white as snow behind him, folded slightly. He stood much, much taller than her at over 7 feet and she hoped that would give her an advantage. He held a sword in his hand, the blade pointing down. Ophelia then began to walk toward him, and curtsied when she approached. "Good luck," she said, smiling softly. She meant it. They both were here to win, but only one would succeed. Suriel nodded and his eyes lit up, looking down at her. Ophelia took two steps back away from him, and he lifted his sword toward her, a gentle light glowing from the blade. The ref blew the whistle and suddenly Ophelia's eyes changed from grey blue to full on silver. Suriel's wings spread behind him, and he moved quickly towards Ophelia, his sword just barely passing her jaw as she shifted with ease to the side and back. She reached down with one swift movement and grabbed the daggers, bringing her right arm up under the hand that held Suriel's sword, the dagger grazing his wrist and arm with ease through his skin. He pulled his arm back slightly and Ophelia then turned toward her left, her right leg coming up to kick his arm back and away from her. Red blood dripped from his wrist gently onto the ground for a few moments before Ophelia saw his wrist heal quickly. She knew it would be hard to keep him injured, but she would try. Suriel then brought the arm she had kicked, back towards her with full strength, and she crouched slightly, placing her daggers into an X shape to block it. Normally this would never work, but she was stronger than the average person. Her slim arms held the weight of the sword for a few moments, and from her crouch she propelled herself from the ground, up and over his sword. Suriel moved back slightly in surprise, and Ophelia came down in front of him, her daggers digging into the bare spot of his armor where his chest was exposed. She blades tore through his skin easily as gravity helped her force them down, and she landed on her feet with ease right in front of him. She looked up for a split second and realized how tall he really was, towering over her by nearly three extra feet. Instead of allowing her feet to become still when she landed though, she tilted her body toward the ground and slid beneath his legs to come up behind him, his wings raising upward again. Suriel knew this was going to be difficult. He shook his arm out and his blade exploded with fire around it while he turned again to face her. Ophelia was distracted slightly by his blade being engulfed by the holy flames, and she instantly would regret it. Suriel brought the blade down toward her and it sliced through the clothing at her waist and into her skin from the top of the left side of her ribs to her navel. Ophelia gasped and slouched over slightly, only to be met by Suriel's foot against her rib cage, throwing her back against the arena wall. The cement of the wall cracked at the force and her body bled for a while. The cut was long and deep and it would take a bit to heal. There goes another fucking outfit, she thought to herself. She could feel anger bubbling up into her throat, and she stood up against the wall, her eyes intense. She looked up at the stands to see Jax sitting there. Her eyes widened, and Jax nodded to her, and Ophelia smiled softly.
