If it is a natural weather occurrence, she can likely manipulate it--and on an atomic level at that, though this comes with necessary precision and control. Ororo has been listed as being a potential “Omega Level Mutant” because of the scope and nature of her abilities. Flight: Standard. Whether Ororo flies on her own or uses the currents of the air is unknown, and she is not known to fly fast, but she can transverse aerial spaces in respectable time.

History
Born to a schoolteacher and a physician in San Francisco, California, Ororo enjoyed a life among the mundane for much of her childhood. Many of her hobbies consisted of the outdoors: biking, running, she was also a dual athlete in baseball and basketball at Lowell High School. All was well, as in the initial stages of her teenage years, Ororo lived the regular life of a teenager--until the dreams began to happen. Powerful and vivid visions of herself soaring high into a midnight black sky, violent tremors, lightning illuminating the ebony expanse over her head. She was unbridled. She was angry. The night terrors had gotten worse, and weeks of persistent lack of sleep began to unseam Munroe’s psyche. Disquieted, Ororo began displaying erratic emotional spikes. These unpredictable shifts and ebbs in behavior not only served to sever many of her familial connections, Ororo began to isolate herself from people as a whole. It was amid this emotional collapse that a series of ‘coincidences’ occurred: the first incident in the high school state basketball championship. All game a girl nearly a foot taller than Ororo and twenty pounds heavier (and much stronger) had been playing dirty. Knees, elbows, shoving, none of which were regulated by the referees. Ororo was not one who wanted to ruin anyone else’s glory, and so she did as best she could to ignore the slights. Down by one point with six seconds left on the clock, Ororo was given the basketball on a double screen which cleared the lane for a drive--in the post stood her antagonizer, Shaniya Williams, the 6’1 senior girl who had been abusing Munroe all night without repercussion. When Shaniya cut Ororo’s legs from beneath her in mid-air as Munroe attempted to execute a layup and Ororo swiftly met the unforgiving hardwood of the waxed basketball court face-first, she’d had enough. Temperamental as she was, it only took small and inagging offenses to activate one of her emotional slopes. Ororo’s mocha eyes shifted to a dark blue; it took a few seconds before the winds outside had turned to gales and the roof began to shake. A deafening thunder roll blared across the sky, and just as the roof of the gym was torn from the top of the arena, Ororo fell into the realm of the unconscious. When Ororo woke, there was a bald headed man standing next to her bedside, “Hello, Ororo. My name is Charles Xavier.”
China
Facing a threat dangerous as any she had ever seen, the X-Men and Storm worked together to stop Magneto’s grand annihilation plans. It was in China that Ororo developed a love for Eastern culture; the language, the fashion, the spirituality. After the China incident, Ororo soon returned and enroll in an higher education institution. To this day, Ororo remains overseas. She studies: languages (Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, Aramic, Hebrew), and Political Science.
