Roger and Thaddeus will also have a good dynamic given that one is a hard edged soldier and the other is an idyllic explorer that resents militarism. Roger being sketpical of the Alliance mission at first makes sense, somebody that violent and militaristic likely wouldn't appreciate the Captain's notion that exploration and discovery can be a means of bridging the divide.
