But how long would he [i]have[/i] to keep searching? How could he succeed, when the entire order the world across hadn't managed? His hand went to the bag at his side... the precious cargo that he carried. A clay turtle. A pull-string propeller. A wooden hogmonkey. And a hand drum. Ancient beyond knowing, they had been recovered from the Southern Air Temple after the Hundred Years War of Avatar Aang's time. There had been no reason to use them to identify Avatar Korra, but since the new Avatar had yet to be found even twenty years after their birth... well, anything to assist him was a chance he'd take. Sitting back down, his eyes went now to the roof of the train. Did the Avatar spirit even need to be reborn? Or were they gone for another hundred years, like Avatar Aang, sealed away in ice or stone? Shaking those thoughts away, Kuren looked down once more. He shouldn't doubt that the cycle would remain unbroken. Not yet. He would just have to keep searching.
