[*] This takes place in the years of the 42nd Millennia, the Necrons are waking up...the Tau are preparing for another sphere of expansion, the Golden Throne is failing and Roboute Guilliman has just concluded his Indomitus Crusade and the beginning of the Plague Wars; what could possibly go wrong? [*] We'll be taking on the role of an Inquisitorial retinue - Ordo Malleus to be specific - participating in however many missions, tasks and scenarios I and my Co-GM(s) can get my (our) head(s) around. There will be an eventual 'endgame', I'm just not certain what it is yet.

[indent][I]In the grim darkness of the 42nd millenium there is only war - but there is also emotion, motivation and greed. 

Deep beneath the surface of our thin veneer of reality have always lurked the denizens of warp-space, those servants of the Dark Gods that some call daemons and others label as Neverborn, beings bought forth from the primordial soup of the warp by humanities emotions and every negative act ever done by one human unto another. Since the dawning of time they have existed, and ever do they seek to possess the souls and fleshy bodies of those living servants of the God-Emperor, whether by devouring them in a blood-crazed orgy or simply influencing them unto their own demise.

The Emperor's holy Inquisition has stood as a monolithic – if clandestine – bulwark against their kind for ten-thousand years and more, the servants of the Ordo Malleus being the most loyal and dedicated in annihilating any trace of the daemonic through any means necessary; civilians are neutralised, entire regiments sent to oblivion, and even members of the Adeptus Astartes are mind-wiped by the shadowy initiates of this most secret of organisations.

Those that serve alongside Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus must be of the purest hearts and most keen intellects, the most devout faith in the God-Emperor and His power, and are chosen primarily for those attributes with their combat abilities a close second.

In this dark time, when the [i]Cicatrix Maledictum[/i] has split the Imperium in two, and the black of night overtakes a billion worlds, are the Ordo Malleus needed the most.

Inquisitor Makram Gaetano and his retinue have been dispatched with haste toward the Yerangelo sub-sector, where something is stirring in the wake of the Eyes expansion and Cadia's destruction, something sinister and rotten...something inhuman and hungry.[/I][/indent]

[indent]So, there you have it, welcome to my Ordo Malleus RP.

We shall be starting with a swift briefing before being whisked along into the meat of our adventure, everything you need to know to be presented in the IC intro post, including the destination and so forth.

As far as characters go, I'll be looking for characters that fit into the assigned archetypes of an Inquisitors retinue (http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Inquisition#Inquisitorial_Retinues), although what sort of character you wish to create and so on it really up to you.

If you're unsure of such things/have questions, then [b]ask me[/b]! 

It just makes life easier for all.

One last things before I end my ranting/writing here, and that is that I would like both a bit of knowledge from players as well as balance.

If you don't know anything about something, then don't bother trying to write one. Same goes for any character. Reading up on things, or simply watching YouTube lore vids, is easy enough to get a grasp on such things.

By 'balance' I mean exactly that - as in the above example, unless your character is a psychic blank then fighting a Daemon would do something to them, probably. Action and reaction, balance, if you think your character is unbalanced then they probably are.[/indent]

[b]Speciality:[/b] Are they especially skilled at close quarters? Xenos linguistics? The healing of others? Put it here.

[b]Rank:[/b] Obvious.

[b]Description:[/b] A [i]written[/i] description of your character's appearance. No pictures. Please include here any [b]armour or clothing[/b] as well.

[b]History:[/b] A sketch of your character's life and history, preferably until their arrival at the fortress. Give me three solid paragraphs, at least, please.
