The Capitol of the Eastern Continent, the city is a marvelous display of white stone columns, flowing canals, and wondrous statues. Delights and entertainments are many, including the infamous and glorious Oglian Cup - a contest of wills and wits, strength and luck, and often times a fight to the death. Winning the Cup is the biggest honor known to warriors and victors are treated with favor and are given ranks among the nobles. There is a very distinct class system in Ogla with many categories, which, when ranked from the top, include: Royalty, nobility, merchant class and soldiers, and then finally, the peasants. Since the death of King Ioan, The Royal Family consists of Queen Nakra and her three daughters. Next to the throne come the Eight Noble Families of Ogla - all of whom were constantly clashing with one another to fight their way up the ladder of succession. Ogla's port is protected by Crescent Island, offering both natural barriers and bounties of warships along its coast, offering an endless stream of goods and soldiers to the city, allowing for an extensive merchant class to emerge. Nearly seventy percent of Ogla's population belongs to merchants or soldiers.
