I'm hoping this is acceptable. I watched the movies and hoped to joined this mostly due to the piloting giant mechas thing lol. Also I have a thing for Evangelion. Yeah right; I'am God, I'll dispatch them as I please. Name: Adam Brave | Addy Age: 14 Gender: Male Height: 5'6" Build: Svelte Occupation: Pilot (Unit-03) Personality: Adam Brave is a soft spoken often agitated lad, whom absolutely despises interaction with others. When he does speak its usually sardonic if not totally condescending. For all the wrong reasons, he's replicated a God-complex. Being praised, admired, and widely recognized as the Pilot of Unit-03 has given birth to a Prince. He views most people with indifference, letting his pride bolster his lack of self-confidence into egoism. When all but in the presence of his father, he creates a graceless wall between himself and anyone wishing to draw closer. This has made him hard to get along with and even hard to understand. This, coupled with his reluctance to speak, creates a pretentious air around him. Alas, for all his faults, he has a fondness for motherly showings. A desire to be loved with the affection that only a mother could offer. And a need to be looked upon, wholly, by his father. He views animals and children as the few things worth protecting. Unlike most of The Children, he has an attachment to Unit-03 akin to admiration. History: Egyptian and Asian heritages mingle in Adam's blood, giving him his rare and intriguing appearance. Beyond that essential set of genetics lingers those of European, African, and Spanish ancestors as well. However, because of his African/Japanese mother, he popped out looking magnetic and unique, attracting attention from all walks of life. His father, Broody Brave was an Egyptian/European with easy hazel eyes who quickly fell for the soft-faced, fun-loving Kochiyo Yagi. A year into their relationship the two of them were blessed with child. Adam Brave was his name, quite fitting for his own seed, his father thought aloud. The thinking type, Broody was always looking for ways to make life easier for Kochiyo. She who had abandoned all she had known in Japan to be with him. He who was working for less, he who was struggling to provide for his wife and child. Long, thoughtful nights were spent at his desk. How could he move up? How could he make her, the woman he loved, beyond fulfilled. Five years, nine months later, and Broody had finally obtained his chance. Kochiyo was invited to NERV for an opportunity to provide Broody with the promotion he had so desperately wanted. What happened next, Broody never revealed to Adam but he was presented with an endearing message from his mother. Her words were steady and strong, up until the last few seconds, in which they became choked with emotion. Love, Adam would decide later on. In total, he believed the "good-bye" was three-minutes long. Not all of it resonated with him. But he would always remember those last few words. Those words soaked in so many emotions that it tended to frustrate him. "Remember this, Adam. If nothing else rings true to you, let these words echo loud in your heart. I love you son. So much more than you would ever know. Regardless of how you feel in the moment, of how sad and lonely you should become. Know that... Know that I'am with you. And that I walk with you, My Brave Little Man." - Kochiyo Yagi's final words VIA tape recorder. Later on he would be called to NERV as a test pilot for Unit-03. His father who in his misery had studied and became a respectable member of NERV, repeatedly told him how the Unit-03 was specifically for him. That no other could or was allowed to use it. Adam's life, for as long as he could remember, felt faraway. As if out of reach, incapable of being reigned in. He knew it spawned with his father, whom cherished him but always kept him at arms length. As if staring too long was painful or exhausting. Many a times, Adam had seen a strain in his father's eyes, as if he might snap and fall apart at the spine. When he was asked to pilot Unit-03, he had never seen such longing in those distant orbs. It was detrimental that he accept, he knew that much but he didn't know why. And he certainly wouldn't ask.
