[indent][indent]Lionel stands out with his rather rugged appearance. He doesn't have the aesthetic of a pretty boy, more of a rough man. One that was hardened through years of hard work and labor. He isn't the type to sit around inside playing videogames, but instead went outside to play and have adventures. He has a fairly toned figure, but he isn't by no means bulky. He's skinny as a twig, with a slight layer of muscle he has developed over the years. He has a subdued aura, one of someone not too noticeable. He isn't the type to raise a scene, nor act eye catching (on the other hand, the way he dresses is a different discussion). He takes small steps, and avoids raising his voice. He could sneak in and out your field of view with ease. 

Lionel is stated to have the look of a future rock star. He has some very good ass hair. Starting with his bushy beard that covers his entire jaw, and is fairly thick around the bottom of his head, but is thin. He keeps it very well maintained. As in, every morning, he wakes up and grooms himself. Throughout the day, he brushes/combs his beard whenever he feels the need to. He also keeps his hair on his head combed to the side. Speaking of his hair, it's wavy, black, and very clean. He keeps all of his hair very neat and well maintained, so he looks his very best at all times. Lionel is German to his very core, both of his parents directly descended from the nation, and i[i][/i]t shows in his facial features, and ruddy skin-tone. He's free from tattoos, and scars (well, he has a few, but nothing like a knifescar).

His facial features are squared, starting with Lionel's rather long neck. He doesn't have the sharpest jaw, but his beard keeps that covered. He has a squared, bulky chin - and thankfully, his beard keeps his butt-chin covered. He has small, almond-shaped eyes that are a blue colored. His ears are large, and crescent shaped, and he has a round, upturned nose. His lips are fairly large... and he has received a bit of teasing for it throughout the years.

He has a very sharp and stylish attire when out on the town. He dresses to impress people, and get across that he'll be the next big name to come out of this city. Lionel has a closet full of stylish jackets, and hats that he'll gladly don when he's out... even if it's stupid. It seems like he's trying hard to impress people. When around the house, he dresses like anyone; he'll wear whatever pants/shirts he has on hand.[/indent][/indent]

[color=steelblue][b]MAIN GOAL  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel's main goal is to reconnect with his past self, and figure out just [i]why[/i] he's become so cold and unfeeling. Why he can no longer find joy in the things that used to keep him up at night. He'll do anything to reinvigorate his past self.

[color=steelblue][b]PHILOSOPHY  ⫻[/b][/color] In the past he believed that there was good in the world, that everyone had innate kindness, and even the most bitter people required a spark of kindness. That mindset's long gone. Now; he believes that good people don't exist and people who think they are good are just arrogant. That even the kindest people have dark sides, and would gleefully throw each other in the fire for their own self interests.

[color=steelblue][b]SECRETS  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel wants to keep all the emotions he has bottled up, and to himself. But, he feels that it's making him crazy, deep down. He wants to keep all the grudges he has locked away, but if he keeps it away, he'll go nuts and stab someone to death. In addition, he has no choice but to keep the murderer of his friend a secret, and, for the safety of everyone he knows, must never tell a soul.

[color=steelblue][b]DESIRES  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel desires happiness in life, the joy he once had. He'll do anything to achieve emotion, and wants to find anyone who can help him.

[color=steelblue][b]SEXUALITY  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel is straight as they get, but he's willing to consider anyone that'd comfort him.

[color=steelblue][b]FEARS  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel fears what he'll become if he doesn't find some kind of happiness in life. That he'll become a monster, that he'll finally lose it and start killing people.

[color=steelblue][b]REPUTATION  ⫻[/b][/color] He has a pretty good reputation throughout Farmer Hill, he's known as the musician that often plays in bars. He's known by his stage name of "King Hatred," but he was also known as a member of his friend's band back in the day, "Suburban Counterpoint."

[color=steelblue][b]PET PEEVES  ⫻[/b][/color] When people act as if they are good people, and are better because of it. He feels these people are arrogant, and/or delusional, and are just a waste of his time. He also hates when people don't respect personal space - not just his personal space, but anyone's. He'll definitely say something to a guy touching a girl.

[color=steelblue][b]QUIRKS  ⫻[/b][/color] He has a habit of air guitaring... it's a little thing he does because he loves the idea of going wild with a guitar in front of a giant crowd of people. He does it sometimes without thinking... and that's lead to some interesting moments.

[i]"Farmhand to future star."[/i]

[indent][indent]Lionel is a native of Farmer Hill, and has only left it a handful of times for vacation. He lived on a farm that his father ran with the help of some family members - his mother was a banker in Farmer Hill, and that paid great. They lived a good life due to the dough that both jobs got the family. But, it was never easy for Lionel, he worked in the farms and fields almost more than he was indoors. It was his father's firm hand that prevented him from getting lazy, that kept him active. But, what time Lionel spent inside was watching music videos, concerts, and his favorite music based movies.

He developed a slight obsession with being on the stage, playing a guitar. It wasn't long before Lionel was given a guitar, and he spent all of his free time outside practicing. It was hard to come across teachers in Farmer Hill, but he was mostly self taught. Whenever he wasn't in the fields, he was playing the guitar. It was the one thing that he was passionate about. He was known in school as the guitar kid, because he either wouldn't shut up about it, or would kill it in the music class.

It wasn't long before he befriended a group of likeminded music lovers by the age of thirteen, and formed a band (Which went through a variety of different names, from Garbage, to Waste, before ending on Suburban Counterpoint). They destroyed it at local talent shows, but every time they made the crowd cheer their bond grew closer and closer. Particularly with a girl named Diana Lucker, whom was Lionel's best friend, whom supported him through fire and flames, and encouraged him more than anyone else. She was the singer in their band, and Lionel knew she was going to carry them to the stars. 

But, after staying school after hours one day, Lionel's life changed forever. He and Diana were playing around in the locker rooms, when they were caught by their music teacher. A kind man that they both adored and looked up to. He scolded them, but only told Lionel to leave the school. He mentioned something about "something that went missing" and pulled Diana in the back to talk with her. Lionel thought nothing of it as he went home, ate food, practiced, then went to bed, but the next morning... he learned that Diana had committed suicide. 

He was distraught, but when he was just about to voice what had lead up to it, his music teacher approached him, then threatened him with death if he told anyone. He was deathly afraid, so he kept his mouth shut about it = as the years went by, he never told a soul. His life changed from this point; he left the Suburban Counterpoint, and decided to adopt his own name... King Hatred. He moved on with his music career with Diana in mind, and took up singing in her place. But, as the years went by, his passion waned.

He couldn't feel the same things that he used to. He couldn't put his soul in his music like he used to. Not even talking about his music, he realized how cold he was becoming. Most horribly of all, he couldn't get excited for holidays, trips, and family occasions like he used to. He could only feel as if it was something that had to be done. He noted this apathy he was gaining, and felt like a ghost.

Now, Lionel attends Grand Ridge for a degree in music, but he wants to do anything so he can feel something.[/indent][/indent]

[color=steelblue][b]Farmhand  ⫻[/b][/color] From the moment he could walk, Lionel was out there in the fields helping his father with the animals. He knows how to take care of them, and a lot about the animals. This also taught him a skill in physical labor.

[color=steelblue][b]Guitar  ⫻[/b][/color] The one thing that Lionel picked up when he was a child was playing a guitar. He was fairly obsessed with guitars, and rock concerts as a kid. He didn't have any innate talent, so he got good at guitar through sheer training, and it shows. Though, as it turned out, as he grew up, he lost his passion. Which affects his ability to play greatly.

[color=steelblue][b]Singing & Lyrics  ⫻[/b][/color] After the death of his friend Diana, he took up singing and songwriting in her place. He learned quite a bit about both, but he could never sing on key that well. He found it easier to write meaningful lyrics. Like his ability to play the guitar, this skill also took a hit.

[color=steelblue][b]ABSTRACTION  ⫻[/b][/color] Aura-Lightning, the ability to tap into his lifeforce to create an energy that enhances aspects of people who are exposed to it.

[color=steelblue][b]ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel possesses an innate aura manipulation ability, specifically manipulating his own. He can materialize his own aura into an energy that appears heavily like lightning. It's much more pure in appearance, and a greyish blue color, but it doesn't function like electricity. It doesn't conduct, nor does it shock or produce heat. It has a special effect on the people around him; in essence, they are "charged" by the lightning. After they are exposed to the lightning, it will be absorbed into their body. He can choose to charge one of three aspects: someone's health, their stamina, or their Abstraction. If he charges someone's health, the energy will flow through them, and heal their wounds. The worst the wound, the more electricity is required, but while it is a miracle; there are some things it cannot do. Such as regrowing lost limbs, and curing diseases. If he charges someone's stamina, they'll feel a rush of energy, as if they took twenty cups of the world's strongest coffee. Then they'll be able to fight and work longer - but the rush fades away over time. If he charges someone's Abstraction, their ability will be far more potent, will use less energy, and their aura reading ability will be much stronger.

However, by materializing his aura in such a fashion, he uses his own lifeforce/aura. Which means he's actively injuring himself by using his power. He'll feel tired, slow, and sluggish at first, to the point where he'll pass out if he isn't careful. He doesn't realize this yet, but he's slowly killing himself with his power.

There's another aspect of his ability worth noting, however; Lionel can absorb the auras of other people. He manifests them as electricity, and absorbs them into himself. However, Lionel doesn't add this to his own supply, but it is treated as a whole new source of aura altogether Lionel cannot use this to charge other people... but, instead, he can weaponize it. This aura lightning is a bright red color, and still doesn't function like regular lightning. It shocks whatever it comes in contact with, generating heat and giving someone a nasty shock, but the aura-lightning still doesn't conduct. He can use this offensive aura-lightning until he has completely depleted the source, then he'll have to get another charge off other people. 

In addition, while using [i]any[/i] of his powers, it's harder to read his aura.

[color=steelblue][b]IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN  ⫻[/b][/color] The efficiency of his ability goes through the roof while in the mountain. He can charge more people off a smaller amount of electricity. Lionel can also use his offensive lightning without having to get charge off the people around him. Finally, he gains the ability to charge himself while in the mountain, so he can heal his wounds, and boost his stamina (just not boost his power because that's redundant).

[color=steelblue][b]AURA SENSING  ⫻[/b][/color] Lionel's aura reading is a bit of an aberration among the Awakened; he technically cannot sense auras. Instead, he generates a passive field that increases the aura reading in the people around him, and can possibly allow Blinded to read auras. He passively increases aura reading in others by fifteen meters.
