Kara entered the room, bringing in some food for both of them on a tray. She sat down next to Smith in a cushioned chair next to him, keeping silent for the moment so as not to disturb his reading. Only after a few minutes did she speak up.

"You know, not many people read those things, apart from alchemists." She examined his injury for a moment. "Want me to apply more healing magic to it? It's been a while since I cast a spell on it."
