The honest people of the area were at the mercy of their tormentors and those who were supposed to protect them and they had begun to lose hope that anyone would come and save them; that wasn’t why she was here. Neko cultivated a Robin Hood persona as protection for herself and her activities; she was a hunter and the gang her prey. Her primary target was the stacks of cash the gang had mounted in great piles in the central hideout. Sure in the same old industrial building were the drugs they sold and the weapons they used but that didn’t interest her as much as the cash which she had plans for already. She had set up a hidden camera network of 50 that would begin streaming the second she began her assault and the evidence they had collected over the time period of observation sent to the police to ease conviction of the gang she would leave bound and bruised. This wasn’t because she cared if they were ever convicted but as camouflage for her true purposes, the cash. The rain was perfect because it collected her targets and lookouts indoors where they wouldn’t have a chance seeing her approach and only react to her direct presence which for humans was too late. She entered through a window she had already prepared for silent entry when she had slipped into their hideout to plant her cameras. Neko had learned from those who hunted her how important preparation was and while to outsiders her attacks seemed reckless were as calculated as any assault by elite government troops and as brutal. She had learned from them the theory of shock and awe and had perfected it for a solo attacker, her weapons 2 HDP rods 2 ½ foot long silent and flexible and she didn’t give anyone the chance to draw a gun knowing the first shot would warn the others. 23 men who had once been the terror of River street were soon moaning or unconscious in the building when the police finally responded to the scenes she’d broadcast. They were bound foot and hands with tape covering their mouths and in their once bulging cash room remained only 32% of the cash it had contained to give the police some as evidence Neko having taken the rest so that she could help the worst hit among their victims by distribution of 28% of it leaving her a sweet 40% or 1.2 million for her own.
