Kennedy had a small blush on her cheeks as El kissed Madeline. It was...surprising. To each their own and all that, but Kennedy hadn't really expected that to occur. Still, it was hard to say what was going through El's mind. And whatever it was, it seemed to work as Madeline had calmed down. Soon, it became to all involved they were now being hounded. They ran to their cars as Morgan shouted directions. Kennedy followed Manny into the car, sitting shotgun. Before she could get her bearings and get her seatbelt on Manny sped off with Morgan following. The chase turned even crazier as Manny sped along going well above the speed limit. "Wait Manny...I.." but it was no use. Soon, Kennedy felt herself bounce around the front seat. It wasn't safe. One particularly large bump landed her in Manny's lap. The two stared at each other briefly, Kennedy finding words hard. Normally she would have chewed the man out for his recklessness, but his recklessness was saving them at this moment. Plus, his lap felt kind of nice... Kennedy shook her head. Before she could scoot off, Manny held an arm around her. She held on as the chase continued. She looked out the back window, watching the car give chase. Whoever they were, they wanted them badly. And she figured it would not end well for them if they were caught. Thankfully, the speed of the car settled and Manny let her go. She quickly scooted off. "I'll buy you one when we outrun these guys," she spoke back. Manny made a good point. The police would surely get involved. What's to say they would be getting off scott free, even if it was them getting chased. They would ask questions and waste time. As Kennedy thought, bullets began hitting the car. She stifled a yell she was about to make. This was the first time she was under fire, but she felt in her gut it wouldn't be the last. She trained for this. She was prepared. Manny asked El to shoot, but she wouldn't sit idly by. "She's not the only one with a gun." She took out her gun from her bag and opened the window. She aimed as best she could, but Manny's driving made it hard. Still, she breathed deeply, aiming the sights. She let off a shot that pinged the left side of the car, just above the tire. She shot again, this time hitting her mark. The tire all but exploded as the car veered off to the side. It hopped over a large median before smoke started to rise from where the tire once was. "There. That should give them pause for a bit. Now, where are we off to." She asked those with her. Their surprised looks didn't register. She was on this team and she would prove her spot to them. Hopefully, this paved the way to doing that.
