Name: Arthur McKillinder Age: 27 Home Region/Town: Hoenn, Lilycove General Description and/or photo: Bio: His mother was a breeder, while his father studied pokémon art and worked as a curator at the Lilycove Museum. Contributing to its vast collection with a few paintings of his own. As Arthur grew up, it became quite clear that he had a special relationship with pokémon. It appeared that he could communicate with them on quite a different level. Obviously, his parents let him go to Littleroot Town, to meet Professor Birch. Be it bad luck or true fate, when he arrived (with his mother as guide), all pokémon starters were already given out. Luckily, the professor had a visitor. Professor Sycamore from the Kalos region. Who happened to have a Fennikin with him. The two hit it off immediately as they began their long journey through the Hoenn region. It has to be noted that Arthur generally his pokémon to join him voluntary instead of being captured by a poké-ball. He managed to convince a Ralts to join him that way. Later he also managed to get an Abra this way. With his three pokémon, he set out upon his greater journey. Beating gym after gym. In between the gyms and during his travels the 4 of them trained together. This joined growth made the three pokémon and their trainer nearly inseparable. When he was back in Lilycove City, to visit his parents, he one night heard a strange howl. His pokédex told him it was an Absol. Knowing fully well that the presence of an Absol meant trouble, he set out in the night to find the creature. He did find it, with help of Kadabra and Kirlia. The creature seemed frantic and panicking. People were sleeping so the majority wouldn't hear it. Yet it was certainly feeling something. But what? Arthur couldn't help if he didn't know. It took him all his knowledge of pokémon, and the bonds he formed with Krilia and Kadabra to understand the creature. But eventually, he did understand it. Team Aqua was on the shores of Lilycove, trying to whip up the water pokémon of the sea to flood the city. With haste, Arthur sped to the beaches and confronted the grunts of team aqua. But while his 3 pokémon were strong, they were outmatched by the grunts. Until the Absol jumped into the fray. In the morning, the grunts were defeated and Absol joined Team Arthur. Arthur continued on his journey and eventually faced the Elite Four. However, the majority of his pokémon were very strong psychic pokémon. They could defeat Sidney but failed to take down Phoebe. She suggested that he diversified his team and capture other pokémon. Especially because he hadn't caught many other pokémon. But it made Arthur realize something. To him, the entire journey wasn't about defeating the Elite Four. He never returned and instead began to study the bond between human and pokémon. His "base of operation" was the local day care center. Thoug his research forced him to go various different regions. Eventually, he felt confident enough to publish a book about his findings. Apparently that didn't go unnoticed as he was offered a teaching job at Alolan Pokemon Academy, in the Alola region. A place Arthur hadn't visited before. Ever. Of course, he took the job.
