"Yes...your...majesty....It's...an honor....to...meet you," Alice forced herself to say, stumbling on her words. Her heart beating hard enough that it felt like it would burst out. "I...I....don't think...I'm...allowed..to...stay here...." Alice had said to the Queen of Windgrace not entirely sure what to say toward the queen. The queen looked at Alice then laughed when she heard the girl say that she wasn't welcomed at the castle. Erialyss shook her head at that response giving her the indication that she was allowed to stay in the castle. She still chuckled a bit over what Alice had said, not because she was stumbling over her words rather that she was implying she wasn't welcome inside the castle. Normally, the queen would deny those for safety concerns that she did not know, but after her review and close observation of Alice's progress in the academy she felt she could trust this girl. In fact, when she graduated the academy she planned to appoint her a position if she desired to take it. The position she had in mind was all about protecting someone, but after her close examination of the girl she wasn't entirely sure that Alice met the requirements needed to fulfill the task. In addition to a recommendation made by other people, Alice's academic records hadn't fully been sent to her so she didn't have enough information to go on, but she doesn't like to refuse recommendations without proper reason. Would that deny her a chance at least trying to show she was capable? No, the queen gave everyone a chance to prove her wrong if they wanted the position even though she denied them that spot. Rhadamanthus remained silent and waited patiently for the queen to finish her discussion with Alice before they got down to business. He knew just by the gestures Erialyss was offering Alice that she actually liked the girl. The queen was usually a very easy-going person most of the time, but she rarely laughed like she did which gave implication toward she was in a very good mood. Though Rhadamanthus wanted to get straight to the point of her summoning him and give his report regarding the Nekrian he would wait. It would be rude of him to not at least give Alice a chance to know the queen first. The queen finally stopped laughing at Alice being silly. She again shook her head where she gave a more causal look in Alice's direction before she started to begin what she was going to say toward Alice. "Don't be silly, Alice. You are more than welcomed to stay in the castle as one of my guests. I will leave it toward your discretion if you want to accept my offer or not. Don't hesitate to give me an answer and don't be afraid to refuse my request if you feel obligated, okay?" She said toward Alice as she changed the pose in her chair to give her a little bit more comfort. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "How are you awake?" She asked. "You should still be sleeping like a log right now, how are you awake? I'm pretty sure that spell could even make someone sleep through being boiled alive." Meira immediately panicked when she saw someone was tilting her head side to side. She abruptly got back onto her feet and backed away from the person who was on top of her. She had no idea who this person was, but she knew they weren't the intruder she ran into earlier. Her head was all fuzzy and she was completely drawn into a state of confusion. She didn't know what to do, but her reflexes made her reach for her sword and brandish it quickly into her hands. She still felt a bit uneasy and groggy from just waking up. That wasn't what concerned her the most. What caught her by complete surprise is when she found a girl in the room that didn't belong there. Examining the girl she thought she had a faint resemblance to someone she had met earlier, but she couldn't remember exactly who. With no answer coming from her mind she shook the thought off thinking that it was just her imagination. Taking a defensive stance while pointing her sword at this girl Meira demanded them to tell her what they were doing there. She also inquired toward them what was going on. "WHO ARE YOU!?" Meira stated abruptly without much thought to her words pausing for a moment so she didn't stumble on her own tongue. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? AND... WHY WERE YOU TOUCHING ME!?" Meira yelled completely under stress and alert about her surroundings. That's when she heard someone giggle from behind her. That giggle she didn't recognize, but the voice and tone made her feel even more uneasy as she became even more cautious about her surroundings. She wasn't about to trust anyone who entered the room without permission and she really had no respect for intruders or thieves. The girl's voice made her immediately turn around where Meira saw the pink haired girl smiling at her she saw earlier in her dream. "I didn't properly get to say goodbye to you so I came here. This is an interesting world you live in. Never seen a place like this." She said toward Meira which only made her lower blade and clumsily backed into a bookshelf behind where her tongue tripped on her words as she pointed her finger at the pink haired girl saying, "Yyyyyyyoooooouuuuuuu.... bbbb...uuuutttt how!?" Meira said overwhelmed by the girl's sudden appearance in the room. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Meanwhile Ranathia sighed at Fenrir as she heard his response. She didn't entirely trust this werewolf, but she had to respect Meira's decision. She then spoke toward him as she disrespectfully turned her back toward him, "I'll go get her. Wait here." Ranathia said as she closed the door and immediately made her way toward where Meira was. She was a bit concerned herself since Meira hadn't come back yet. Knowing this, she went to investigate what was going on as she mad her way toward the elevator Meira used to get to the lower level of the house. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When Nathan lied to him earlier, Azmaldus become very unhappy about it. He tried to hide it on his face, but the irritation inside him was rather unsettling. He had a hard time controlling himself from getting really annoyed in front of Nathan. If there was one thing Azmaldus disliked more than anything it was liars. He was always honest to people when he spoke to them and he ignored anything he didn't want to talk about. He didn't need lies to hide behind unlike people who were afraid of who they are. Well, he knew he wasn't completely a saint when it came to honesty since the only thing he ever lied about was what race he descended from. But it was easier to lie than try to explain to people about the Sindel race. He tried to keep his sudden irritation from overwhelming the look on his as he stood and placed his shoulder on Nathan's hand, "I know you don't want to hear this, but everything happens for a reason, Nathan. I'm not saying what happened to your parents was right since I was friends with both of them which makes it easier for me to say that, but i cannot deny that this is something that was preordained by destiny. The only advice I can lend you is be yourself. Don't be someone who you aren't even if you are afraid. I'll be on my way then." Azmaldus concluded as he stood up from the chair and made his way toward the door. You could tell by his gestures and tone in his voice that he was disappointed in Nathan for lying to him. Perhaps Nathan wasn't the person for his granddaughter. "Don't lose sight of what is important in life. if you do, you'll find yourself traveling down a long road of despair. Hatred through vengeance is not the answer. I can't tell you the exact answer, but I'll say that righting the wrongs is not always the best option available. Farewell, Nathan." After those words, Azmaldus went out the door and disappeared out of sight. It was unclear where he might have went off to.
