Protected by magic. Brovak did mention before the group selection that medical staff will be preventing any deaths, though he didn't say [i]how[/i], and it was in the middle of some long exposition. He doesn't particularly feel the urge to make absolutely certain students know they can't die since he's an asshole. :hehe
