After a few more people left, Tormir was called up next. He paced before the eggs holding his hand over them, but it seemed none would hatch for him. He'd almost given up hope until the very last egg on the end, a purple one, began to shake and crack. He stood there and watched a small purple head poked out and looked up at him. He smiled big and gently touched the dragon's head with his hand, wincing a little at the pain, and flash of light. He pulled her out of the egg and, looking at her purple color, said "I'll call you Lilla." He held the little dragon in his arms and carried her to the table, where he sat with the others. Once everyone had either gotten a dragon or left to head back to Alagaesia, the elf clapped his hands and the eggs were brought back into the room they came from. "Now that you have been chosen, it is time to feast!" he clapped his hands once more and trays of food had been brought out, with special trays of meat brought out for the dragons. "Once you have had your fill, you will be taken to your rooms, and tomorrow will begin your lessons!" (Pronounced Lee-lah, and is Norwegian for purple, since Norwegian is one of the languages the author used to make up the ancient language, so he's basically calling her purple in the ancient language)
