Working in the medical field aboard the USS Enterprise, Beverly had her share of those who wanted to push through the pain. In some cases there was nothing the redhead could do to help if their egos prevented them from getting necessary medical attention. And then of course there were some that turned it down due to their race or beliefs. Beverly was in charge of healing the sick and the wounded, she would always put a patient above anything else, sometimes even the Prime Directive. She didn't like seeing anyone in pain, not when she had the power and knowledge to fix a problem right in front of her. "Gaheris." She said gently, mostly to ensure she got the pronunciation correct. "Please let me just take a look at it." She asked gently. Beverly could see it was an unusual injury, one she hadn't seen before. But she burrowed knowledge from other similar wound locations and how the skin was reacting to the injury itself. "Very interesting." She muttered under her breath as she scanned the wound and decided to treat it with caution. She grabbed some ointment and applied it before she used another device to scan the area, ensuring it had been fully coated. The ointment would act as a barrier against infection and would also speed up the skin's regrowth and recovery process. She put a bandage on the wound and took a blood sample, just to be safe. "Please be sure to visit me in two days so I can further monitor your wound's progression." Beverly told Gaheris. While she wasn't sure if he and his friend would still be aboard the ship then, she liked to think positively about the future. The tissue should be healed within twenty-four hours but she wanted to wait a bit longer as to not further irritate the skin. She turned to Rommie who seemed impressed. "Yes, we've been able to develop a few little tricks." She smiled lightly. "It's a quick and safe way of healing wounds without the need for more invasive and taxing measures." She said. When Rommie said she was fine, Beverly glanced to Riker who nodded. Although she hadn't taken any samples from Rommie, she supposed it could wait. "Yes, Worf, they're free to go." She said and looked back to Gaheris who shared appreciation for her work. It was a kind gesture. Some people she had to drag into sickbay to do their yearly physical or administer necessary shots or get blood work done. "Thank you, please take it easy." She told Gaheris and watched as Riker and Worf headed out with the two strangers. Riker still wasn't sure what to do about the whole situation. Sure, they had rescues like this before but it almost felt like Gaheris and Rommie didn't belong. Like they were observing a scene they had never seen before. Perhaps their planet had yet been accepted into the Federation due to its technology issues but that was unlikely when they didn't seem amazed by their surrounded, more like intrigued. So Riker didn't think they were from some lesser planet with more primitive technology. There were about a dozen questions rolling around in his head but for now it had to wait a bit longer. "Commander Riker to Captain Picard, we've just finished with Doctor Crusher, we're on our way to the conference room." He said, tapping his communicator badge as they sped upwards once inside another turbolift. The group of four soon made it to the main conference room which had an open view of the vast space stretched out before them. In the back of his head, he wondered if these two had anything to do with the anomaly but it was nothing more than a fleeting idea at the moment. "Please have a seat." Riker gestured as he sat down as well while they waited for Picard.
