"I think it would be very good for you." Gandalf argued as he looked at Bilbo critically. He was determined to make Bilbo come along on this endeavor whether the hobbit himself cared to or not. "And the most amusing for me", he concluded with a light chuckle to himself as he thought of how the rest of the company might react to the Hobbit. "We do not want any adventures here, thank you. Not today, not…", Bilbo paused. "I suggest you try over the hill or…across the water", he recommends just before he walks into his little Hobbit home and locks the door. Right after he does so, he hears a noise at his door. Looking out the window, the wizard was still standing there. Very well. Gandalf thought to himself. If Bilbo was going to be that way inclined, he would have to make him meet the rest of the group, perhaps that would persuade him. Lifting up his staff, the wizard walked across to the newly-painted green door of the hobbit's home, and carved a strange rune there. This would make sure the company who were coming to the meeting would find the right house. After peering once more through the window at the hobbit, which made him jump something quite frightful, the wizard simply vanished from view. He would be back later that night when the others arrived.
