The sudden appearance of the creature had Manny cursing. The men were one thing, but he'd never seen anything like this apparition. Whatever was happening here was far more planned and far more serious than a simple murder via incantation. They'd unwittingly gotten involved with high level occult activities, apparently coupled with a large amount of funds and influences. He was glad Kennedy was far more impressive than he'd given her credit for with a gun, but he'd have time to be impressed later. As for now... "Kennedy, take the wheel," He told her, lowering his window and un-holstering his gun. Reaching into his satchel, he fished his hand within until he found what he was looking for. Plenty would be perturbed with what was happening to the car in front of them, but Manny'd seen and ended far too many horrors. He unloaded his sidearm, and reloaded it with three brass bullets, with crosses emblazoned upon their backs, filled with Frankincense and Myrrh rather than gunpowder. They'd been hard to obtain, but a priest buddy of his back in Chicago had not only procured the ingredients, but had blessed the bullets in holy water as well. Undoing his seat belt, he grabbed a hold of the roof handle above the window, and yanked himself out. He set his ass on the windowsill, feet tucked under the seat and left hand holding his pistol in a steady aim. If there was one thing Manny could do, it was shoot. It took him all of two seconds to get the right bearings, and lamenting they were still drawing attention to themselves, he discharged his firearm. The bullet punched into the mangled form of the creature, causing it to shudder and garble in pain. Manny could not very well see what was happening within the SUV with Morgan, Malone, or Leone, but whatever it was they needed help. Hopefilly Ell was on that. His world suddenly spun when they turned a sharp corner, but he balanced himself well and aimed once more. Another turn. Manny's hair whipped, and he spat out the toothpick in his mouth before firing again. This bullet looked like it hit perfectly, the creature now letting out a piercing cry. Passersby would grab their ears and fall to their knees in pain, and it was only by sheer will power that Manny managed to keep himself steady. His vision blurred from the banshee howl, he could see the thing atop the SUV slowly turn to regard him. Its head was an upside-down woman's visage, the skin shivered and the jaw broken. Its eyes looked all too real and deadly, however. "Yeah, get a load of me." Manny breathed, goading the thing into focusing on the PI now. It looked like it worked, because its spider-like legs of broken human limbs bent as if it was about to leap. "Kennedy, swerve!" He called, and the abomination leaped. Wind whipped and tires screeched, and Manny's eyes met with the thing's as it suddenly sailed off Morgan's vehicle towards their own. Crack. The bullet struck it straight in the chest, its limp weight flying past Manny as the SUV swerved once more back into alignment. Manny turned around to see the thing tumble onto the street, its limb slowly moving as if it was a dog trying to swim while being held in water. Manny twirled his gun, and pulled himself back into the SUV once more, running a hand through his hair. "I need a drink." He said, rolling the window back up.
