Lauren was once a criminal. It wasn't that long ago as a matter of fact, but she has been on the wrong side of the law for quite a long time. She knows how the system works from both ways, and as such goes out of [i]her[/i] way to act as little like the police from her past as possible. Friendly, down-to-earth and with a bounce in her step, most people don't expect her t-shirts to have kevlar weave in them, or for her to be a devotee of center-axis relock, to know the Mozabique Drill, have advanced stunt driving knowledge, or the ability to roll a four hundred pound man over her back like a child.

[b]Back Story:[/b]
Born in a dirt poor neighbourhood, she showed an aptitude for mechanical activities at quite a young age. She studied for as precisely long as she needed to, then promptly dropped out and joined a chopshop garage. Not that she knew it at the time of course, but she quickly became an accomplice in stealing, breaking down, and generally meddling with cars, learning of the gang connections in time.

An FBI sting operation brought the entire thing down, although she had no criminal history, no history of drug use, and was mentally sound, and agreed to be an FBI informant. From there, it wasn't a very large leap to get to be an agent.
