Companies such as "Silph Co." have long since been absorbed by the conglomerate known only as "Poke Corp." This company now oversees all aspects of Pokemon technology. They are a true monopoly in the field of Pokemon. Lucky for us, they are quite benevolent (or so it would seem). Life is good here. Poverty has all but vanished from the face of the planet. That doesn't mean that money is no longer a factor. On the contrary, there are two types of currency still present in this world: Coins and Trainer Points. All basic housing, food, and other essentials are provided for free by the governments of the world, but in order to live a life beyond easy survival, you must choose one of two paths. One, you can work a regular job and earn coins, which are used to purchase higher quality food, housing, and basically everything besides what you can buy with Trainer Points. Your second option is to register with "Poke Corp." as a trainer and receive your very own Pokedex. Trainer Points will be uploaded onto your Pokedex whenever they are earned. These points are used to purchase items from Poke Marts, such as Poke Balls, Battle Items, and more. It is also important to note that simply having a Pokedex will grant you entry into practically all "Poke Corp" facilities, such as the Poke Marts and Pokemon Centers. So what's it like to be a trainer? Surely it's filled with peril at every turn, right? Not necessarily. While it is natural to come across abnormal situations in the Pokemon world, you do not have to choose a dangerous path. You can pursue beautiful Pokemon Contests. You can join a scientific research team. You can even wander around the world freely, sight-seeing. There is no reason to be battling at every turn. However, the thrill of battle can be quite exhilarating. For those that enjoy this thrill, you can hone your skills in battle leagues, defeating gym after gym. Or you can take on exciting missions to protect innocent civilians and Pokemon in need. The most important thing to remember here is that you are free. You can choose whatever path you like, do whatever it is your heart desires... But be careful. There are those in this world who are not interested in playing nice.
NOTE: Chapter 1 - 3 summarize everything that happened in the old thread for this RP.
A new generation of trainers start out their journey. They learn the basics of being a trainer and make new friends in the process. Some go their own way, exploring the vast Pokemon world and coming to terms with harsh realities. Others set off in groups. Our largest group ends up in the cutesy, creepy town of Feyhollow. There, they find that things are not quite as they seem, encountering spellbinding Pokemon, evil Pokemon poachers, and many more mysteries. With just a taste of what's to come, will our new heroes be up to the challenges that lie ahead?

NOTE: Chapter 1 - 3 summarize everything that happened in the old thread for this RP.
As time marches on, so too must our trainers. For most, the next stop is the ever so quite town of Stillwater. There, a mysterious force is at work in the form of an mischievous Darkrai. Trapped in a dream world, our heroes must overcome their darkest sides of themselves. Elsewhere other trainers must deal with some interesting situations of their own including an over active Porygon-Z in Zypher Strip, a rogue Darmanitan in Ironforge, and a rampaging Entei in Tefan Village. Little is known as to why these Pokemon are all starting to act up at the same time... coincidence? Or could it be something more?

NOTE: Chapter 1 - 3 summarize everything that happened in the old thread for this RP.
Just as things seem to be calming down, a mysterious earthquake rocks the entire world, baffling scientists everywhere. Trainers everywhere set out to find clues behind this great mystery. In search of knowledge, many new adventures unfold. Stillwater is swarmed by some very agitated Unowns, who create a pocket dimension to everyone's dismay. In Greenhaven, a young trainer has to find his way out of an unexpected cave-in. Back in Feyhollow, the poachers are back to their old tricks, and manage to steal one of our heroe's Chikorita. This also brings about the discovery of a new organization dubbed "The Causality", a group dedicated to punishing unworthy trainers. And in Tefan Village, a mysterious man proudly admits to provoking Entei's previous rampage. Before escaping, he reveals his mad goal, to rid the world of the "blight" that is humanity through the use of Legendary Pokemon. Could this man and his Exadrill have any connection to the earthquake or any of the other strange happenings? Nothing is for sure yet, so stay tuned...

Chapter 4 marks the beginning of this new thread "Pokemon: New World 2.0" Not enough has happened to justify a chapter summary. Jump in and join the adventure!

Locations:

Our world can grow infinitely. All it takes is users willing to create new locations. To create a location, you need to spend 25 CP. PM ... with your area concept to get it approved. But first, you need to know some basics. There are currently SEVEN types of special buildings that can be located inside of any location.

Poke Centers: These buildings revive Pokemon, hand out free Potions & other Out of Battle healing items (except for revives), provide free shelter and food to trainers, and house Pokemon PCs for switching up your Pokemon Party. These are owned and operated directly by Poke Corp. and do not need a trainer to open one.

Poke Marts: These buildings buy and sell Poke Corp items. Each Poke Mart can hold 10 different items in stock. You can have multiple Marts to offer more items or combine them to create one giant Pokemart. These are owned and operated directly by Poke Corp. and do not need a trainer to open one.

Poke Stadiums: These buildings host special events such as battle tournaments/championships and Contest Hall competitions. They also act as Pokemon Centers for their participants while open for an event. These are owned and operated directly by Poke Corp. and do not need a trainer to open one.

Gyms: These buildings house gym leaders that accept challengers. A gym doesn't necessarily have to be a part of a 'Classic Gym League', but usually are. User controlled characters are the gym leaders here, not some AI. A character must be a Skilled trainer at least, in order to build their own gym.

Labs: Characters can start of their Pokemon journey at these locations, receiving their first Pokedex and Pokeball. Poke Corp's Research and Development Divisions also operate out of these labs.

Headquarters: These buildings are the gathering places for 'Special Interest Groups.' Each HQ can only host one group.

Daycare: Each daycare can only house two Pokemon per trainer at a time. Pokemon staying at a daycare will gain two levels per IRL month. This is not combinable with the 3 level boost Pokemon receive for being in your party. These buildings are needed for breeding, as described in the manual.

Safari Zone: This is a dedicated area of a location where trainers can pay 50 TP to enter. Here you will find three bonus Pokemon-types (i.e. 3 extra types beyond what the location would normally have). After paying the fee, you may buy as many Safari Balls as you like (see the "Item Registry") and then enter. While in a safari zone, you can only use these safari balls; when you run out, you must exit. You cannot buy more safari balls without paying the entry fee again.

Tutor Center: You will find a bonafide "Move Tutor" in this building. Each Move Tutor can teach up to 5 different tutor moves. Refer to Bulbabedia's "Move Tutor" page to see all the moves that are available. Regardless of generation, if the move is on that page, it can be taught. Once you have chosen your five moves, simply PM [@Balthazar007] so that he can attach appropriate prices to the moves. It is the responsibility of the trainers to make sure that their Pokemon is ABLE to learn the move (Look up the move via Bulbapedia, and go to "by move tutor").
As mentioned in the manual, there are 5 types of locations, based off how many people have inhabited the area. Here's a list of what they are and what they contain:

Metropolitan: — 10 Special Buildings — 2 Types of Pokemon — 0 Legendary Pokemon
Mostly Urban: — 8 Special Buildings — 4 Types of Pokemon — 1 Legendary Pokemon
Developing: — 6 Special Buildings — 6 Types of Pokemon — 2 Legendary Pokemon
Mostly Rural: — 4 Special Buildings — 8 Types of Pokemon — 3 Legendary Pokemon
Wilderness: — 2 Special Buildings — 10 Types of Pokemon — 4 Legendary Pokemon
The same Legendary and Mythical Pokemon can be listed in multiple locations, as long as the location can support their type(s). But since there is only one of each, once it is caught, it is unavailable across all locations.
