Trevor "Shadow" Stevens
The ride back was fun, the rest of the squad couldn’t believe what they found and were in a good mood. However, he did notice that Maisy was being quiet, she was still paying attention and giving orders but seemed distant. This did confuse him slightly, he knew they only thing that changed was that kiss and how flustered she was after, did it truly bother her that much. This thought would prove to be his focus other than making sure their path was clear, occasionally he would glance back at the other girl. His thoughts eventually trailed through his memories to the only women he had ever loved, Sara. Trevor quickly changed his train of thought by yelling at the squad, “you better not drop any of that, you don’t find that every day.” The greeting with the others went well, their prize had bought up the morale of the team and now there was talk of a party. The armored man didn’t spend too much time with them while the others moved the supplies, he simply rode hank back to his pack horse to retrieve a few things. Really he was only checking on his personal effects, it’s not to say that he didn’t trust the people from Lasthope he just didn’t know them well enough yet. Retrieving a sealed canteen and a guitar for the party he headed back to where the others were unloading supplies. He left hank with the other horses and was pleased to find that most of the supplies had been moved and that Maisy was still there. He had to admit the girl still seemed a bit distant, he simply figured she either wasn’t used to that or was used to that with someone else. Still, she didn’t look depressed or her heart was filled with sorrow. He looked away from her and stepped up onto a burnt out rusted truck, sitting down on the roof he lightly strummed his guitar and smiled. He sat the sealed canteen down next to him and began to play. A few notes at first just so see if he couldn’t grab the girl's attention, whether or not she would look at him he would still smile at her. After strumming the guitar to make sure it was tuned he began to sing, he didn’t sing very often and rarely did he do it around those from Lasthope. Trevor always likes to see the look on their faces when he sings, he is quite good. “Chewing on a piece of grass Walking down the road Tell me, how long you gonna stay here, Joe? Some people say this town don't look good in snow You don't care, I know Ventura Highway in the sunshine Where the days are longer The nights are stronger than moonshine You're gonna go I know 'Cause the free wind is blowin' through your hair And the days surround your daylight there Seasons crying no despair Alligator lizards in the air, in the air Wishin' on a falling star Waitin' for the early train Sorry boy, but I've been hit by purple rain Aw, come on, Joe, you can always Change your name Thanks a lot, son, just the same Ventura Highway in the sunshine Where the days are longer The nights are stronger than moonshine You're gonna go I know 'Cause the free wind is blowin' through your hair And the days surround your daylight there Seasons crying no despair Alligator lizards in the air, in the air” He continued to strum the guitar and smiled, “Now if no one takes this from me im goanna keep going.” [@Poi]
